I hope your pool heater is still running! Anyway you mentioned that when you reinstall the heater door the heater turns off.

This is my personal experience with this; there is no switch on the door, keep that in mind; so ask yourself: when you remove the door are there any wires touching or resting against the inside door panel?

if so its possible that one of the wires in a connector is broken, the crazy thing is you cant see the broken wire that is causing your intermittent issue.

What I did was cut off all of the wire connectors and installed new ones, now the heater is running like a champ.

Good luck

Would I have air trapped in my cooling system if both my fans stay continuously running?

It's possible to have air in your cooling system. To check start you vehicle and let it run til your heater is hot. Turn your heater on all the way for a couple of mins. This will help get all air out of the heater core. It also helps if you have the back end more downhill than the front since air always sits above the water. After it's warmed up shut it off and let it cool down. After it completely cooled down remove your radiator cap and check your fluid level if it's full then you have an electrical problem. Bad relay or short in the wires somewhere.

It runs fine for about an hour and then shuts off. I can turn it back on and it is fine for about another hour and then shuts down again.

Since the unit runs for an hour I would say the circulating fan and cover are dirty. This will cause an overheat. Also make sure the louvers are open in the front.

Heaters fires, stays on for 10 seconds, then burner turns off

Just had the same experience.
1. Pull the top cover off and try gently wiggling the printed circuit board on the right side top. Pull the thermostat mounting board too if it helps. Be careful as it is still live as you are doing this. If it fires, unplug it & remove the board from the unit. Get a magnifying glass and a good light and go over the solder connections on the back of the board, ALL of my connections where the harness plugs into the board were cracked. Best as I can figure, the board is mounted right next to the power vented flue discharge and it is extremely hot there and must expand & contract with heat especially if wind is blowing the heat back onto the unit. Re-solder connections & mount the board somewhere else in the unit.
2. The igniter assembly acts as a thermocouple, which is to say it "proves" the flame to the unit telling the gas valve to stay open and the spark to shut off as long as the thermostat wants the unit to run. That component may have failed & requires replacement.
3. The flow switch (Pressure sensor) proves water flow to the unit saying it is ok to fire. I've replaced mine twice due to them busting open, but that can also hold out the unit if it doesn't sense flow, however but I doubt that is the culprit. It is easy to test, just make sure the pump is on, jump the wires & turn on the unit. MAKE SURE to put them back on after testing as the water will boil very rapidly if the unit runs with no flow which is extremely dangerous.

I would check these components in that order.

Lasko heater run about 5 minutes and shut down/how to clean

i have the same problem ... i almost throw this heater out ,,
the fix .. open the unit theres 6 screw at the back.. remove it if you have problem removing the triangle screw use the small square head screw ...size 0 and then you also need to open the black plastic ..
i believe it has 8 screws .. then vaccuum all the dust .. chances are the front and the back of the heating element is covered with dust ..
after that put all back together and i guaranteed it should work like brand new ,,,, dont worry its not that hard ... the only hard thing for me was removing the 2 triangle screws at the back .. Goodluck

Master 115,000 will not stay running

It sounds as if your are having a fuel delivery issue. Always start troubleshooting fuel delivery problems with a pump pressure test. Air pump pressure is extremely critical on these computerized heaters. Instructions are at www.reddyparts,.com
