At the risk of being too simple, it really sounds like the Serial Number is not valid -
Check O's and I's - try zeros and ones
Better, copy the serial number from a place where you know it is correct, then paste it into the first box - it should paste correctly into all the boxes and you should get an OK button ...
Or paste the individual sets of numbers into each box if you need to ...
Good luck, hope you get it worked out!

MXF file format comes from like Panasonic HVX200/HPX300, Canon XF300/XF305, Sony EX camera, etc. It is not compatible with many programs just like Apple Final Cut Pro. So Convert MXF file to FCP MOV Video is a necessary step to do if you want watch your video from your camcorder which export mxf file.

And we know that Apple ProRes 422 , Apple ProRes 4444,introduced in Final Cut Studio, was advertised to one of the codecs to result in less compression and higher data rate/higher quality files for HD editing in Final Cut Pro.

Below is the step-by-step guide for you to quickly Convert/Edit MXF to Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) Final Cut Pro on Final Cut Studio,Final Cut Pro 7 on Mac.

Step 1. Add MXF videos to Aunsoft MXF Video Converter for Mac.
Connect your MXF Camcorder to iMac with USB 2.0 cable or use card reader to transfer the .mxf files to Apple hard drive disk. Run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the best Mac MXF to FCP Apple ProRes Converter . and click the "Add" button to load .mxf videos.

Click the "Format" option, choose the Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) and navigate to the Final Cut Pro group, you will notice that there are profiles with Apple ProRes 422, Apple ProRes 422(HQ), Apple ProRes 422(LT), Apple ProRes 422(Proxy), Apple ProRes 4444. Here we choose Apple ProRes 422(HQ) (*.mov) as output format. (The Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) codec is intended for offline editing and contains 30 percent of the data rate of Apple ProRes 422, and I recommend you to select Apple ProRes 422(HQ), Apple ProRes 422(LT) MOV for outputting.)

Step 3. Merge Canon MXF files. (Optional)
Tick the checkbox for "Merge into one file", and the Mac MXF Video Converter will join and combine the video clips into a single file as output.

Step 4. Convert MXF to Apple ProRes MOV for Final Cut.
Click the convert button under the preview window, the Mac MXF Video converter starts converting MXF videos to Apple ProRes MOV, and joining the MXF files for editing in Final Cut Studio.

After Converting and Merging the MXF files, just import the output Apple PreRes 422 .mov files to Final Cut Pro 7 or Final Cut Pro 6 for editing and the video .Optimize your workflow and save time with the Apple ProRes compression for Final Cut Pro. Probably the OS 10.5 version your're installing is not compatible or supported by the system motherboard of your computer model Apple Power Mac G5. per my research from Apple website herewith is their solution quote on what applicable OS to install for such model: "Power Mac G5 (Late 2005) and iMac G5 (iSight) models require Mac OS X 10.4.2 or later, you can t install Final Cut Pro 3.x or earlier versions on these computers. Final Cut Pro 3.x and earlier versions are not supported on any computer running Mac OS X 10.4". best regards
