Battling between KODAK AIO 7 vs Dell wireless laptop.

MY KODAK AIO 7 and my my wireless laptop simply stopped seeing each other.
Been thru firewall settings Dynamic and Static settings Uninstalls Reinstalls. Nothing works.
Kodak says it's my computer and Dell says it's the printer. Please advise.

Kodak printers dont have issues communicating with the computers,it seems there is a firewall issue, allow kodak's all services from ur firewall and then go to printers and faxes from control panel, make sure that esp-7 is checkmarked and set as default, then right click it and go to properties, click on print test page,if it prints test page, problem with software and not with printer

Try this

  1. Open the Printers folder:
  2. XP Operating System: Select Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes.
  • VISTA Operating System: Select Start > Control Panel > Printers.

  1. Delete all ESP 7 and ESP 9 printers from the folder. The printers are listed as "KodakESP7+xxxx" or "KodakESP9+xxxx", where xxxx can be any number.

  2. Close the Printers folder.

  3. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your computer keyboard, then select Task Manager.

  4. Select the Processes tab.

  5. Stop each of the following processes. For each process, click the process, then click End Process.
  6. AiOHomeCenter.exe
  • EasyShare.exe
  • EKDiscovery.exe
  • EKIJ5000MUI.exe
  • KodakSvc.exe
  • mDNSResponder.exe

  1. Power cycle the printer. (Press the power button to turn off the printer. Wait approximately 30 seconds, then press the power button to turn on the printer.)

  2. Open the home center software.

  3. Click Install Kodak Printer in the bottom right corner of the home center to add your all-in-one printer to your computer.
let me know if this worked or not.......

Have you had a look on the firewall website for a suitable firewall system that compliments windows 7?
I had to download a new one myself when I went from Windows XP to Windows Vista.

Sometimes changing systems means you should also change your firewall, then you'll have the most up-to-date software going. Plus it won't slow your computer down like it doesn't sometimes.
Hope I helped Dr Reed
