Could you take a high-resolution picture of the device you're discussing? There's plenty of black chips on any motherboard.

Sir/Mam, there is a small Intergraded Circuit Chip That is removal on the Copier control Board that has failed. The Card is located on the back of the copier this chip my also not be plugged in properly. I've never send that code before.. That chip carries the serial number and counter info (Digitally) When ever that board is swapped out you have put that chip on the new board. If not the chip then might be the board itself.

My 42" rca flatscreen has a picture but no sound the sound started cracking then went away no i have no audio what can i do to fix this

Check to make sure that your speaker wires are not pinched. If the wires look good, then your main board is the culptrit.

3 long beeps when memory installed on gateway 700s lx3

The Code Beep Manual tells us that 3 long Beeps shows you that there is a problem with the RAM. Its either it is not installed properly, or it is faulty etc. But in your case, This has to do with the installation of those chips. I would suggest that you install only one chip at a time and check if the system will recognize it and be able to boot. If it does, put it aside, try the next one until you find out which one is causing the problem. If all the RAM chips work, then try two chips at a time, and make sure you keep on trying them only on selected slots, so that it helps you to narrow down your problem because the problem might not reside in the RAM chips but in the slots. Make sure the slots are clean, no dust particles in them, since dust particles can cause static electricity to build up around the system board causing the system to halt.

The other thing you need to consider is how you handle the RAM chips themselves. Make sure you do not touch the part that connects to the slots, because this can also create static electricity that is harmful to your computer. Again check the small lines that go into the slots on thr RAM whether they are all intact (have a goldish shiny look). At times, these lines can burn out causing a discontinuity of the current on the board.

Toshiba tab turns on but Screen stays black what do I do

I would check the ram chips first,, pull them out and reinstall them, most of the time this will work. if not.... try starting the laptop with only one ram chip installed, then try the same thing with the 2nd ram chip install,, test one at a time..

If this dont work it may be a bad GPU connectoin to the mother board,
This can be fixed but in most cases a new mother board is needed.

How to repair cracked corner of black ceramic cooktop

Epoxy would not work. If it is a very small chip and is NOT STRUCTURAL or in the heated are you could TRY the adhesive used for rear view mirror to glass attachment.

Put in new black cartridge and told it is incorrect

Hi,

If it still recognizes the old cartridge and the new one is the same modle then the printer is likely fine. Chances are the new cartridge either has something obstructing the chip or the ID chip may be faulty.

Best bet is to locate the small chip and circuit board for the head and dab them clean with rubbing alcohol, try it again. If that doesn't work either return to the store you bought the cartridge at or call Dell support and report the problem. They will most likely issue you a replacement cartridge.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Curtis mathes tv - model cm25020s

had the same problem if you have any skills with soldering open it up and check on the pins on the thing in the back lefthand corner. On mine the solder has a circular crack around one of the pins that when the back was on on it pushed the chip itself up and cause that one pin to not touch. The thing i refer to is the black tower that has 2 philip type "screw" that you turn to change the defalt color or somthing like it. well hope what i said help if you have not trashed it or got a new tv... or both.

Your problem is the convergence IC'S. They have STK ###-### the # are numbers. You can get parts at http://partstore.com. If your not a tech and an experimenter or a handi person Pease be aware of the hi voltage inside these sets. Also be aware your going to need to unsolder and resolder the ICs in and from the printed circuit board. Good Luck
