Starts but won't speed up enough to run

I have a kawasaki hedge cutter. Single sided blade. (approx 30") Engine number 466734 code TG018D-BF92. It starts and begins to run but will not pick up when throttle engages. Just doesn't speed up. Blade is free enough. Is there any manuals which can be downloaded anywhere? I've tried running with the air intake cover off and is appears to spit fuel out whilst running. Any advise would be greatly received, thanks Dan.

Thanks managed to get very significant improvement. I think that what ever caused the blockage may have be due to poor combustion so will now clean carb and reset, runs for longer but still stops short of cutting speed.

If this is a 2 cycle engine the problem could be that the exhaust is clogged. Most 2 cycle engines have a spark arrestor on the muffler which clogs. could also be the exhaust port from the engine. remove the muffler and check it out.

Why does my kawaski khs750b hedge cutter start easily but stop when tilted in a certain position

Answered your own question : generally the fuel supply to the motor is through a small hole at the base of the tank , at full you could probably tilt more aggressively and the line is getting fuel , however as the fuel runs down the fuel is on one side of the tank and is essentially not getting fed to the motor , you'll notice tilting it from horizontal to left you will get cut off , tilt to right it'll keep running depends on the locations of fuel line however , cars pre fuel pump days had similar problems

I have a husqvarna122 HD 45 hedge trimmer and it will not stay running it is wide open all the time the only way to keep it running is to run the machine at 3/4 Choke. when running the machine sounds like...

While not being familiar with your machine, there could be several causes, the first that comes to my mind, based on your analysis ["...sounds like it is under load."], is that there IS SOMETHING CAUSING the system to "BE UNDER LOAD"!!!!!

Now, considering what could cause such a load on the system THREE things come to mind:
  1. An ACCUMULATION of trimming DEBRIS has gotten between the cutting blade and its support frame, causing the blade to severely bind / "drag"!, or
  2. The bolts or screws holding the cutter blade and its NON-moving support frame together have been OVERTIGHTENED, or
  3. A bearing, or bearings, in the engine are failing and are beginning to seize.
  4. On some machines, the connection between the engine and the blade involves an eccentric arm, with a BEARING. IF that bearing is beginning to fail, and thus seize, that could be the cause od the "unknown" extra load.

The cutter action is jammed

Ensure blades are sharpened. If there are burs on blades they can seize.
Blades should be lubricated with WD40 , waste oil or other lubricant.
The bolts holding the two blades together shouldn't be too tight.
