Question about Linksys Wireless-G WAP54G 802.11g/b Wireless Access Point
One is restricted from opening his D-link access point, it case it develops fault, how can I troubleshoot my D-link devices if the are technically faulty?.
You would have to connect it via RJ45 and burn new firmware into unit. The firmware would be downloaded into the computer that is connected to the access point, remember what directory you have placed the new firmware into. You will have to access the unit via windows explorer with it's http, some units through their respective manufacturers have unique address for each particular model. In case you have lost your password or other settings, reset the unit to defaults by using the reset button appropriately. The manual will show you the rest. Good luck.
