Problem with Samsung LCD-TV Service Menue "Date of Purchase"

After one "back to factory" reset there no longer a time. How can it change back or type in the old date?

Try this:
Access menu service by press on your command, with your TV OFF:

INFO + MENU + MUTE + POWER ON

Then you should get access to Service Menu.

The last item says: RESET

This will do a reset to the TV.

Make no harm.

WARNING: If when on service menu you feel tempted to "screw" on anything FIRST take note on ALL you change! You can compromise the TV ...

go into analogue tv press menu move down to settings you should be able to enter plug and play in menu press ok( if you can not enter it you are not in analogue )
if not solve problem try this !! warning !!

you will enter the service menu DONT ENTER OR CHANGE ANY OTHER ITEMS THAT ARE DISPLAYED AS TV WILL NOT WORK IF YOU DO

With tv in standby press INFO / MENU / MUTE / STANDBY on remote

then use ONLY DOWN nav-key move to number 12 FACTORY RESET
press RIGHT nav-key will reset all tv settings to factory ones

PRESS STANDBY TO EXIT on remote
you will have to RETUNE after tv after

no only the voltage is critical.the only point is you have to select right counrty and tv sound and picture system on setup menu!

There is no problem with Samsung products, it sounds like you had a problem with your retailer in which case an email to Samsung would have got a result. After all, if the unit is under warranty then Samsung will arrange a free of charge repair for it and if out of warranty, they will direct you to an Authorized Service Centre for a fast and efficient repair.
If however there is a problem with cosmetic parts, as they don;t fail they get broken, they as a company are not responsible for supplying the parts. They will supply the parts if they have any stock but the responsibility stops there.
I don't expect you knew that.
Hope that clarifies your complaint and helps.

Sounds like firmware is corrupted. If so a firmware update is necessary. An other possibility is faulty front panel control board. Any defective microswitches at it might have damaged [strucked] or so. Check it too. Do a hard reset to this set, and check. In most cases, a software bug will be corrected if any. Emerson Tv Serial #J40742632 Model #LC320EM81 Tv just went out when I turned it on smoke came out of top right back corner of tv then it no longer worked. What type of warrentee comes with this set/
Most electronic devices carry one year warranty from the date of purchase. In order to get the LCD repair, you should call funai or emerson to ask them for the nearest authorized service center.
If the LCD is out of warranty, I can repair the power supply. In about 90% of the time the power supply is defective.

Samsung S630 date gets reset while changing the batteries
It is really NORMAL that the date will be reset to the Manufacturer's date whenever you are changing batteries.

For you not to keep on changing the date and time of your camera, use Rechargeable batteries for a longer battery life span but make sure that you will be setting the battery type of your camera for the Rechargeable ones.

To set the correct battery type.
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
- Scroll down until you see BATTERY TYPE
- Select ALKALINE if you're using NON-RECHARGEABLE
- Select Ni-MH if you're using RECHARGEABLE
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved

Turn off camera after the settings
have been changed to refresh the camera.
