Key not working

Sir,
Actually my laptop keys esc,1,f1,f2 are not working.
All other keys are alright.
I have cleaned them out but stillnot working,

I think u needs to replace entire keyboard or just go and buy external keyboard (USB)(20$ Approx.)

How To Enter Bios Setup


When you boot up your laptop the keys to enter the BIOS is displayed briefly.
Try ESC or F1 or ESC then F1 or F2

The machine will beep, then display: Check System, then press [F1] key.
2. Release ESC key
3. Press F1 key

You should now have the BIOS screen

What key is pressed to enter the bios setup menu?


For most toshiba laptops, it's F2, but for some it's F1 or ESC or ESC and then F1 or F2. Honestly I haven't test it myself with your model but I hope one of these will definitely work, there are no other Bios key for Toshiba laptops other than i've mentioned here.

I cannot enter to bios.also can not pass to windows set.as i read it supports 95,workshop 3.11 and Win NT.Firs,how i can enter to bios.Thanks.


When you power up the computer press the following key board command.
F1 or
F2 or
del key or
ESC or
ESC+F1 or
ESC +F2 or
TAB
Try above command you can see bios with 1 of them.

If you have a Toshiba Tecra 500CDT:

Steps
1. Power up computer from off condition with ESC key depressed. Unit will display "Check system. Then press (F1) key"
2. Release the ESC key, press the F1 key. This will put the unit into the BIOS setup screen.

To Access the Bios Setup Utility Here Is A List Of Key Commands And The Make/Model They Are For..

Acer - Aspire, Power, Veriton, Extensa, Ferrari, TravelMate, Altos
  • Press Del or F2 immediately after powering on.
  • The BIOS on the Acer Altos 600 server uses the Ctrl+Alt+Esc key and the F1 key for advanced options.
  • Older Acer computers may use also use the F1 or Ctrl+Alt+Esc keys to access BIOS.
Compaq - Presario, Prolinea, Deskpro, Systempro, Portable
  • Press F10 while the cursor in the top right corner of the screen is blinking.

The following companies are either closed for business or no longer manufacture or support mainstream computers systems so verifying the following BIOS access information is nearly impossible. I have included what I could dig up for anyone who might be interested:
ARI / ALR / AST (Advantage) - Press the Ctrl+Alt+Esc or Ctrl+Alt+Del keys.
Cybermax - Press the Esc key.
Tandon - Press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys.
