Init Fail - Web N Walk stick

Morning, I have been using my T-Mobile Web N Walk stick for months with no issue, in the middle of usage the connection failed and upon trying to reconnect I had a message saying "init fail". I've been able to find out what this means, but not how to fix the problem.

I have tried the USB stick on a different computer and it works fine.
I have tried reloading the software and I have also tried a system restore to a later date, but none have resolved the issue.

Any suggestions are welcome.

SOURCE: no wireless (init failed) but wired works fine

Turn off all power supplies to the router. turn off internet Source. Leave everything for about 10 seconds. Turn all equipment back on including the router and it should sort it. You are reseting the router and loosing its memory basically.

SOURCE: Got Init Failed error on wireless mode and cant save changes

What browser do you use to access the router? It could be your browser causing the issues not allowing you to safe changes etc. Maybe make sure your browser is up to date or try a different browser.

If the wifi light is off its a sign that there's something wrong with it, so the first thing you can do here is to reset the router, To reset it press and hold the reset button of the router for 30 seconds and then power off the router for 10 seconds....

connect your computer to the router by an ethernet cable. Open Internet explorer or FIREFOX. Type the roiuter's default IP-address (if not known: its either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.0 or 192.168.1.0... keep trying until you're answered and asked for the password to enter the router (either attached on the router, in the manual or try: user: admin password: admin or password: password. Whgen you're in you'll find many checkboxes you could fill oput or notr; Easyway: give your net a name (SSID), then choose the network access security (set it to wpa-psk), choose a password and enable DHCP (then the router does the rest). Disconnect, look if the computer sjhows reception of your netwoirk by displaying its name. then connect. You will be asked for the password you chose. Done.

Viewing Mobile usage

Our 'My Plan' usage meters feature a summary and an expanded mode. The image below shows the summary mode of the My Plan usage meters.
To see the expanded mode, hover your mouse / tap on either the voice or data meter. The expanded mode displays the number of usage levels used, the next usage level and the time remaining until your plan resets and your bill is issued

How do I see itemised usage / individual call records?

To see individual calls / message / data sessions, up until your last bill, click the adjacent 'Usage Details' tab. More information on viewing detailed usage is available in this article

How do I view older usage?

My Account displays usage up until your most recent bill / monthly period. To see older usage you'll need to download the bill that corresponds to the period you want to view. For help with viewing or downloading your bills, see this article.

When does my plan reset? What do I get each month?


How often is usage updated?

The time and date of the last update is shown within the usage tab, it may take up to 24-48 hours for recent usage to show. Occasionally a network event may delay the update period. It's for this reason that the usage information in My Account should only be used as a guide.
Your exact usage will be detailed on your monthly bill.

Why can't I see my usage?

If you can't see your service in the My Services list:
  • Have you linked the service to the My Account profile that you're logging into?
  • Have you logged in using a service number rather than your My Account username?
  • Is the service eligible for My Account linking?
Your usage information can take up 24-48 hours to show, if:

What is shown?

  • Usage up until your most recent bill (to a max of 1000 unbilled records)
  • Up to 60 usage records for Prepaid Services
  • Calls made (including numbers dialled)
  • SMS / MMS sent
  • Data Use (including type and amount)
  • Some Feature Use (eg. voicemail access)
  • Approximate Pre-GST totals

What isn't shown?

The following usage information is not available or calculated in My Account.
  • Usage details that have already been issued in a bill
  • Usage in the last 12-24 hours
  • Plan inclusions, bonuses, discounts or offers applied
  • Usage via another provider's network
  • Calls/SMS/MMS received
  • Service/Feature charges or other fees.
  • Credit/debit adjustments or recurring charges as these are applied when the invoice is issued

My nokia Lumia 1520 does not see Roku streaming stick when I try to use mirroring.

If you can get your hands on a Roku 3 try it. It is the most dependable of the Rokus. Buy one at Walmart ,they take anything back, to prove it's not the Stick.

How to turn off GPRS setting Nokia Lumia 520?


You can do 3 things on Nokia Lumia 520
1) to use Data Sense (an windows app) to control your mobile data usage by limiting it to a certain level like 100MB a month or something.
2) to turn mobile data usage off on your phone, by going to Setting> Mobile Network then choose "off" option for Data Connection.
3) to contact your Mobile Network ISP & request a Data Connection deactivation.

(I might have been able to solve the problem by editing or bypassing the ..... It failed to recognize mine, but I downloaded and tried the free HSF driver ...

Boot error code 5d on a Chaintech VNF3-250 mobo.


Error Code 5d: Initialize Init Onboard Super IO switch.

Generally caused by a mismatched RAM stick int the MIDDLE RAM slot. Try using a single stick of RAM and boot, make sure you do not put this single stick of RAM in the middle slot, and it should boot right up.

I have the same problem with mine it keeps popping up "Init fail !" when I try to connect.

But I've found another way you can connect:

goto START, type RUN then "ncpa.cpl" and enter, then left click your mouse and connect to tmobile internet.

This is how mine got working.

now then or you hav to do is plug it to your pc go to internet connection t mobile properties then advanced allow to share to other connections then plug your cable to your pc from your ps3 you might have to turn your windows firewall off or just change the settings if you dont want 2 turn it off
