IOMEGA Screenplay Pro shows on PC but not on TV

I have just bought a new IOMEGA Screenplay Pro HD 1 TB drive. It was all working fine on TV and PC. But suddenly after I used it with my PC for transferring files, I switched it off and then connected it to the TV. Now the blue light just keeps blinking even if I keep it on for 10 mins. On the TV Screen, the IOMEGA Screenplay Pro logo will come up and then disappear and the TV will remain blank after that.
Any Ideas..?

SOURCE: Iomega Screenplay Pro HD - No Menu

I had the same problem with the Screenplay Pro HD. My Iomega was working fine and one day after exchanging files with a friend I got the logo, then the loading message and then it went into a black screen while the blue light kept blinking.
Obviously the connection to the TV was fine because the logo appeared.
I solved the problem by downloading and reinstalling the firmware.
I downloaded the firmware from the iomega web site.
Notice that during the installation process you get the message that it will delete your data and then shortly after you have the option to delete or keep it. Hang in there. This part is a little nerv wrecking.

Hope this helps.

How do i download from piratebay to my iomega screenplay dx

You may not be able to do it directly, as torrent portals such as the piratebay are supposed to use a specific client software (i.e. uTorrent, nTorrent, etc.) which only can be installed on PCs.
Download the items into your PC, and then you can transfer them onto DX via USB.

Iomega screenplay dx

It may depend on what type of file system you chose when formatting it. For file-type support beyong 1.5 Gb, such as high-resolution videos, aka. HD movies, Iomega should be able to recognize NTFS file system. Perhaps you chose FAT, or FAT32? In that case Iomega may not recognize it.

I have bought a IOmega Screenplay Pro 1 TB. I was able to see some partition in the HD. Accidentally all these partition were removed. So i need to create those partitions and the size details of each...

ScreenPlay Director Partitions There are five partitions on the ScreenPlay Director's hard disk. Three partitions are grayed out and will list as "Healthy-Unknown" in Windows Device Manager. These partitions contain the ScreenPlay TV interface and system settings and are not available to store media files. The two active partitions both appear as "Untitled". The larger partition is formatted with an NTFS file system. Use this partition to store your media files when you connect to the ScreenPlay Director from a networked computer or transfer files via direct USB connection. The smaller partition is formatted FAT32 and is used only when updating the ScreenPlay Director firmware. Do not place your media files on this partition! If you accidentally store media files on the FAT32 partition, you can use a computer to move them to the larger NTFS-formatted partition. You will not be able to see media files on the FAT32-formatted partition when using the ScreenPlay TV interface. Formatting the data partition will erase all existing data! If you have files on the ScreenPlay Director you want to save, move them to another drive or volume before reformatting.
*******************************************CAUTION!********************************************************* Do not change (format or delete) the partitioning on the ScreenPlay Director hard disk as this will remove the firmware that enables the ScreenPlay Director to communicate with your TV set. Only media files stored on the active data partition (the largest partition) can be viewed or played on a TV. The ONLY partition that can be formatted is the data partition (the largest partition).
Conclusion: If you have deleted or formatted any of the first 4 partitions on the unit that is not the data partition. You now own a BRICKED ScreenPlay which HAS to be replaced. No if ands or buts about it. YOUR DEVICE IS DEAD.

Iomega Screenplay Pro HD Multimedia Drive works on PC but not on

If the blue light continues to flash after the screen goes black, then you need to reinstall the firmware. Look at http://screenplayprohd.wikia.com for information about getting the firmware and installing it.

If the blue light goes solid after the screen goes black then you probably just need to switch the NTSC/PAL selection. Press that button on the front panel several times, waiting a few seconds inbetween in press. If it continues to be invisible, plug the drive into another TV using the composite cables instead of HDMI to confirm if the menu comes up at all. If it does, reinstall the firmware.
