When setting the convergence and storing the settings. The settings are forgotten. How do I save the settings so they stick?

G'day there. My problem is that when i set the nine convergence crosses up and save the settings they are forgotten. Is there a battery that needs to be replaced to hold the data in memory?

I have had that myself once, you do need to save the settings before turning the TV off. I don't have the TV anymore, and I can't remember which button. I'll post again if I remember.

Sony post convergence repair problem

The flash focus is a joke in these sets--only adjusts a limited area and can make the set look worse--like having a cigarette lighter in your car--not really needed.

Flash focus rarely if chips have been replaced will SAVE the adjustments.

The set stores the convergence adjustments on a board inside--best way to adjust is with the Sony remote to enter the tech menu and adjust there--when done one of the numbered buttons is pressed and Save? in red appears--press same button again and it goes to green which means adjustments have been stored in the set.

The tech menu will also always give a much better adjustment of the entire sceen.

We can set the convergences great but after about 10 to 15 minutes ithe reds lines start moving a little again will not stay in position. It's a widescreen Mitsubishi rear projection tv ws-55857.

The problem - you're setting the convergence settings, but you're not saving them, you're
simply exiting the menu screen. Be sure to save your convergence setting for each
of the three colors. It sounds like you're setting RED last, and not saving its convergence setting,
whereas the GREEN & BLUE are holding their convergence settings, since you're saving them
correctly before proceeding on to RED....

Sony ericson p990i i want to use the memory card not the phone memory how will i do it

Hi!

You can try this steps:

-Go to Settings
-Select INFO for each setting

-To change a setting, press and rotate the Jog Dial to higlight the desired option, then press again

-You need to select SAVE TO- this will give you option to select if pictures and clips will be saved to the memory stick or the phone. If you select Memory Stick preferred they will be stored on the phone when there is no room left on the Memory Stick.

The steps above will only allow you option to save Clips and Files. Hope this helps. Cheers! keep me posted!

Are you trying to adjust it in the customer menu?

There is a hidden tech menu where you adjust and SAVE THE ADJUSTMENTS.

MUTE,

MUTE & HOLD ----THEN MENU ON TV SET

“S” SHOULD SHOW

MENU AGAIN

7 FOR GRID, 3 FOR EACH COLOR

7 AGAIN TO SAVE AND EXIT

NAVIGATE WITH 2, 4, 6 AND 8 BUTTONS

If it does not save you have a problem with either the convergence output chips or the part of the set that stores the adjusments.

You need to try to adjust it with the original remote in the TECH mode---you can save the adjustments there--

With the set on a video input with nothing connected:
hit the following buttons: 0 6 2 5 9 7 STATUS

The menu should appear with choices---green(do not adjust green) red to green, blue to green etc.

On that initial menu will be a item that says store or save. Depending on the remote you have once you select red to green (cursor on remote) a grid of lines should come up---on screen will be instruction--menu to adjust and or status to navigate.

When you have the red--to green adjusted hit the status button until it takes you back to the menu where Store or save is listed and right cursor on it.
This will store the adjustments.

Go back by selecting blue to green and adjust that also and when done go back and save it.

Turn the set off to exit the service mode and see what you have---IF THE SET DOES NOT RETAIN these adjustments made in the Tech menu something is wrong with its DCU--digital convergence unit---that stores the adjustments.

There is a manual convergence setting. Press Menu until you see the option of convergence. Save settings by pressing Power until you see Save Ok. You can exit the convergence screen by pressing the PIP button. 0 reloads the convergence. It will periodically go out of wack again.
