I have 2 12inch kicker cvr and a audio tek amp when i have the volume up and leave it like for about 40 min my amp gets hot and turns off
SOURCE: 10 inch cvr kickers
Option 1 (series/parallel) = 1 ohm load
Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 1 ohm mono

dnt bridge the amp wiht a voice coil and keed the bass on the amp low and use vocal on the radio setting if you have the opintion
SOURCE: my subs sound distorted and dont pound right
Are you sure the polarity is correct on the sub's connectors? This is very important as reversing them will cause the sub to pound inward instead of out. Make sure the wires are thick enough and that the amp's + connector goes to the red(or +) connector on the sub and that the amp is grounded properly to a clean piece of metal on the car's body. This ground wire should also be as short as possible. Also make sure the fine-tuning for the bass level on the amp is adjusted correctly and that the sub's enclosure is the correct specification ie. Ported or sealed, right size, etc.

Hello brysonford00,
The wiring configuration depends on what final impedance you want the amp to see. If the subs are 4ohm DVC's, you can wire them to present a 2ohm impedance or an 8ohm impedance. The diagrams are here. If your subs are 2ohm DVC's, the wiring is the same. The impedances will be 1ohm and 4ohms.
Hope this helps.
SOURCE: How do you wire 4 kicker cvr dual voice coil 4ohms
Hello antjobe,
According to Kicker the 1500.1 is only stable to 2ohms. So you will want your 4 CVR's to present a 2ohm or higher impedance to the amp.
The best configuration would be to wire the voice coils in series (each sub 8ohms) and then parallel all of the subs to the amp (2ohms). Here's a link to the diagram.
Hope this helps.
