Check out this site to determine what the beep code is saying.

Remove and re-seat your RAM sticks. Try to get to BIOS and load default settings are just a few things to try.

On booting up my Dell 5100 an error message comes up as follows: Error allocating I/O bar for PCI device. The computers locks up at the XP startup page

The computer needs the PCI slots to be enabled as they are used in communication from processor to most periferals.
It sounds like the mother board drivers are not installed or have corrupted some how.
Run the motherboard driver disk and reinstall the drivers. They can be downloaded from the mother board manufacturers web site.
You may need to burn them to a cd with a bootable system in dos, to run them.
Hope that helps.

No sound from pc

though i need to know either the make n model of main/mother board u r using or the sound chip, to serve u better..
likely to b problem with driver, howevr, many times itz seen that the sound chip on the m/b is faulty..
often follows with software corruption/os failure..
i guess u r using a licensed n updated antivirus..

download, install n run microsoft kb890830
check with the following step(s)..
1) replace n see, if other speakers r running in ur pc..
2) connect ur speaker to other computer (anywhere), n see..
3) try download n install the audio driver..
4) remove unnecessary items from boot..download n install 'Startup Control Panel'..in here uncheck unimportant startup items..
OR 5) replace the RAM with a standby..
OR 6) reinstall os..
OR 7) disable audio device from the CMOS/BIOS..install a fresh PCI Audio Card n see..
[if u r at option 7, howevr, it works or not, probably itz for sure that the main/mother board is defective]..

at any point of time, u may contact me/us, in case u require any guidance..

if u r not a professional, try contact ur system admin/vendor....

Gigabyte mother board ga-6bx7+

You might have damaged the CPU/ motherboard during the process of overclocking.

Check your CPU on other compatible mobo.

Check your mobo documentation properly & set the jumpers rightly. If that doesn't help, you will have to replace the mobo.

Have the graphic card mother board

Is this an Addon card, or a built-in video chip?

Best thing I can suggest with very little information would be to remove the 'card' from System Properties (Right Click "My computer", select "Properties", click "Hardware" tab, Click "Device Manager", double-click 'Display Adapters', right click your video card, and select uninstall), then reboot your computer to let Windows reinstall all drivers for the card. This may fix the problem, it may not. NTLDR is the startup to Windows 2k and above.
