Hi! In your case try to change the printer port in the printer settings. I think the only problem you have is the communication between the printer & your computer. pls check. GOOD LUCK

My printer will not print black even tried 2 brand new cartrages. i also tried the cleaning process on the printer and it did not help. all other colors print perfect.

the black tube or nozzles are clogged up. The printhead probably needs to be replaced.

possible reasons for this

generic ink
not using the printer for a long time
printing past the warning indicator of low ink and having air get sucked in the tubes.

Probably cheaper to buy a new unit.

I installed new epson ink cartrage, but printer has red x and tells me to change ink again.? Can i just change only the bkack ink?

Yes you should be able to just change the black ink cartrage, A lot of printer wont allow other third party cartrages, is it a genuine epson ink cartridge? if so try cleaning the contacts on the cartrage.

CANON PIXIMA IP5300 cartrage problem

I can suggest you one thing. If you can't do it yourself, get a friend who can.
Make a small hole (using a drill) in a new cartridge. This hole should directly go to the ink cartridge. (Make sure you don't spill ink everywhere!) Make a similar hole in the old cartridge. Take a syringe and pull out some ink from the new cartridge. Put it into the old cartridge. If you can see the ink level, fill about half of the old cartridge this way. Close both holes. Now use the old cartridge in the printer!
(You can repeat this process whenever the old cartridge runs out of ink).

Cannon S200Spx prints blank pages

The problem is likely to come from your printer settings in your printer properties dialog box. Right-click the printer icon and select Properties. You will see within the dialog where to set the printer to print on black only and then appropriate. restart your pc and then try sending to printer again. Good luck

New ink cartridge won't work.

Guys I had this problem with black ink. It appears that the internal print head ports were clogged with ink. Try removing the print head and washing it in alcohol- when I did this i had clumps of congealed ink coming out of the tiny ports. The print head has two small screws underneath that I also removed and cleaned the ports inside by use of a syringe and alcohol. After I put the print head back together, dried it and ran an auto alignment - it all seems good now.

Solution: Clean The Print Head Nozzles (Windows) MP500 / MP800
lean The Print Head Nozzles (Windows) The following contains instructions to check the nozzles for poor print quality and perform cleanings of the print head nozzles as necessary. If print results are faint or streaks are printed, the print head nozzles may be clogged. Those phenomena can be improved by performing print head cleanings or print head deep cleanings. nozzlecheckflow_en.jpg
