Question about Philips PSA250 MP3 Player

PSA250/17 doesn't show the songs that I have put on it!

When I plug my PSA250/17 into my computer through its usb-port it shows up as having songs on it (I use Musicmatch Jukebox), but after I add songs to the mp3 player and unplug it from my computer and turn it on to listen to them, NONE of them show up!!! Its incredibly frustrating... I don't know if I need an update, if the files I add are in the wrong format or WHAT is wrong...

Re: PSA250/17 doesn't show the songs that I have put on...

I was having the same problem with my PSA250/05 but found out how to resolve it.

As the PSA250 converts the files into it's own naming algorithms simple dragging and dropping mp3's work work as the device doesn't recognise them.

Inside musicmatch Jukebox you will find a portable device options section. In here under one of the options you'll see the mp3 device which is in a drop down box. If you click this box you'll see that you have another option for Nike + Phillips, select this option and now add your tracks.... All should be fine.

How to add songs in ipod

Assuming that you already have itunes installed and your iPod isn't sync'd with your library:
1. Open up itunes
2. Plug the ipod usb cable into the computer's usb port and plug your ipod in at the other end.
If you don't know which is the usb port on your computer a symbol next to it should look like this:
3. Wait for your ipod to show up in itunes
4. Select the songs you want to put on your ipod and drag them over into the "Music" folder on your ipod and wait for it to load.
5. When you are done, make sure you eject your ipod
There's an eject sign next to where it should show "(Your name)'s iPod"

That should be it
Depending on what kind of iPod you have there MIGHT be a different way to do it but I know this way works with the iPod mini, nano, and video.

If your iPod is synced to your library all you really have to do is plug it in and it adds all of the songs in your itunes library to your ipod.

Hope I helped

Hi, My Samsung YP-U3 has been really great up until now. But now, When I put it into my Computer (USB"s), it doesn't show up on "My Computer" (where it show's C, D, Drive etc) only...

Have you tried booting into safe mode and seeing if the problem persists? If it can be detected in safe mode, then there is a possibility your USB drivers are corrupted, and will need a re-install. To do this, remove all USB devices from ports, disable USB in your Start/Settings/Control panel/System, and reboot. Windows will then detect them at boot, and install the drivers needed to get them back up and running again.
Hope that helped.
Cheers from NZ

How do you put songs on a Sansa c240 MP3 player?

If you plug the player into a USB port, it should appear in My Computer.
Open it and drag and drop the songs into it.
If you have a microSD card fitted that will show up as well.
Think of it as just another thumb drive.

You can also put songs on a microSD card using a card reader, and plug it into your player.

There are software utilities that will automatically update your player's contents, but i have never looked at them, having found the above two methods sufficient.

Ipod wont show up on itunes

When you have a high speed device like the ipod plugged into a non high speed usb hub, all that means is that it will take the ipod about twenty times longer to load up under itunes then it will using a high speed port. Try connecting the ipod to a different usb port and see if that one is a high speed port (if it is, it will most likely have 2.0 written beside it, and if it does not have it, when you plug it in, it will tell you if it is a non high speed usb port. The same message should pop up. Try all of the usb ports on your computer. You should have at least 1 high speed port.

Ipod wont show up on itunes

Your ipod has to be plugging into a high speed usb port, that's your problem. Don't use the usb ports on front of your computer, use the one's in the back. Those are typically high speed. If you have an older computer, you might not have high speed usb ports and you'll need to purchase an pci usb 2.0 adapter.

Once you get it connected to the computer and you sync with your library it will remove any songs that were previously on the ipod.

My yp-k5 wont upload songs?

What you probably need is a firmware update. Many people seem to have this problem and it is fixed when you update the firmware from 1.03 (the one that comes with it) to 1.05 Here's the link to the firmware update:
