    computer is a C2D 6300 with 4GB of RAM

    motherboard is Gigabyte 965P S3

power supply is Powerlogic Magnum Pro 315

Graphic card is a sapphire ati HD4770 with 512mb DDR5

i'm using CCC 9.5 driver, previously was the driver that came with the graphic card.

the problem seems to have gone away with the new driver. The green screen doesn't come in anymore but i still have very little success overclocking the card by any small margin.

Just to let you know, an integrated graphics chipset cant be overclocked. If you are using a pcie graphics card there should be no problem- what make/model is the card. If the card is Nvidia you can use Ntune or if it is an Ati card you could use rivatuner

Can't setup dual monitors on ati radeon x1050

Hello
You might have installed ATI's CCC, "Catalyst Control Center", along with the display drivers. I suggest you download the latest combo-CCC and drivers for your video card. ATI comes out with new drivers pretty fast. When using dual monitors CCC is where you want to setup your monitors. After you set up the catalyst control center you'll find it much easyer to assign what monitor displays what. One other suggestion. ATI will want you to uninstall any other software for your ATI card even though all you have is ATI software.
Hope it helps, if so do rate the solution

Im trying to decide what video card to get with this mother im a huge gamer and i play all games from CoD4 to wow. also does this board already come factory overclocked? how do i configure overclocking ?

motherboards do not come overclocked, unless you bought it from a person that has already done that. For overclocking, you go into the BIOS but make sure you have adequate cooling in your machine. When you overclock you want the CPU cooler fan to blow away from the CPU instead of onto it. Also you want more fans blowing out the rear of the case if you have one intake fan in the front, two in the rear/side panel. Overclocking causes more heat, and shortens CPU lifetime. I believe you press F2 at boot to get into BIOS on your motherboard. in the BIOS settings you can change the multiplier, but if it doesn't add up correctly, your computer will just hang instead of boot and try a different setting. Although this mobo supports Hyper-Threading and supports Untied Overclocking Technology, so it should be simpler to overclock rather than some mobos are tricky to get it going right.

As for the graphics card with this board: it's an Intel processor so you need a graphics card made by ATI. I would recommend a Radeon graphics card with this motherboard. The motherboard is compatible with Front Side Bus 1600/1333MHz CPUs, so make sure your Graphics card you select doesn't have a FSB faster than that, otherwise you will be wasting money.

ATI Mobility Radeon X600 continuing problem

Hi eltrury,
Here is a link to explain Modding. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modding
You're notebook share's you're main system memory with you're onboard (Video card built into you're notebook's main board).
If you're notebook has a total amount of system memory of 512MB & you're video card is using 128MB to function. Than you're notebook will only have 128MB to run. (And that is not enough for a Windows XP system to function. It will run! Like a dog with two broken legs. You're video card is an ATI. That said, ATI comes out with newer versions of its software drivers quiet often. So upgrading you're software can be preformed once a month, if you like. ATI's catalyst control center is part of the ATI's software. CCC is a section of software where you can adjust a range of settings to you're preference. Like add more red color to your monitor. Adjust you're display screen. It's a long list. There is a Help button within CCC.
Most people never need to enter CCC. It's for people who know what to adjust & why. CCC's greatest function allows people to run dual monitors. CCC can detect when two monitors are connected to the video card & the user can adjust the color for each display separately. CCC is also acts like a software manager. It helps keep the video running stable. For those who do not have an abundence of hard drive space you can elect not to install CCC & just download the driver software.
This next link will take you to ATI's web site.
http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
Here you need to click on three choices. In the first window you would click on you're operating system. EX: Windows XP home or pro. Than you would click on ATI Mobility Radeon. Than click on, Mobility Radeon X600. Lastly, click on the GO button.
Suggest you run the Installation Verification Software on the site. When it finishes the ATI software should start the download.

Enjoy!
If I can help you further, feel free to post.
Suggestions & comments welcomed.

How to make use of 2 DVI outputs on Sapphire Radeon X800 GTO2 Graphics card

You need ATIs Catalyst Software to run dual monitors. Just installing the drivers is not enough. There is a bummer part of all this. Before you install the latest driver/Catalyst Crontrol Center, you will have to uninstall your current X800 software through Control Panel. If it fail to uninstall you will need to use ATIs uninstall software called: cat-uninstaller.exe. The first link below.
When you have the new CCC & driver installed you'll need to setup your dual monitors within the Catalyst Control Center. K
Uninstaller: http://searchna.ati.com/promosearch/?site=us-en&la=en&qt=cat-uninstaller&selectsite=ATI&sp_a=sp10039240&sp_p=all&sp-x-1=col&sp_f=ISO-8859-1&sp_q=cat-uninstaller&Search.x=9&Search.y=8
Radeon X800 Driver/CCC software: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=xp/radeonx-xp
1 last item. Please make sure your operating system is updated. ATI wants you to have .Net framework 2.0 installed before you install the driver package.
