Generally it should easily be pulled out with your finger nails....but dont try too hard as it may spoil the slot..

Unlock software

There is a Lock switch on the left side of the SD card. Make sure the Lock switch is slid up (unlock position). You will not be able to modify or delete the contents on the memory card if it is locked. If you are using a microSD/microSDHC card or a miniSD/miniSDHC card, insert the card into the microSD/miniSD adapter. The SD adapters will also have a lock switch.

I can't format my new micro sd card

The Samsung Alias works with microSD cards. Your 8GB card is actually a microSDHC card and will not work in devices not designed to work with them. You need to use a microSD card, 2GB or smaller.

Here are the ways for you to insert your microSD to your computer

Was inserting a camera memory card into Right slot but it appears to have been swallowed by the PC and not connecting as it should

Most likely you inserted a MicroSD or similar memory card into your card reader. The problem is that the card reader was designed for MiniSD or MMC (for example) memory cards, which are bigger. In order to read a MicroSD card you will first need to put it in an adapter from MicroSD to MiniSD. In order to remove it from the slot, power down your machine and shake it a couple of times with the slot facing down. If it doesn't get out, try to manually remove it using something similar to a blade.

Why wont my sidekick format my memory card? I have a MicroSD in a MiniSD adapter. I've also tried a second MicroSD that I happened to have laying around...Do I have to have a MiniSD by itself or do I have...

Hello , Welcome

# Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
# 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
# 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
# 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
# 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
# 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Cannot format memory card

The Samsung Alias can only use up to 2gb microSD cards. I had this same problem after purchasing a 12 gb card only to discover that I could not use it with this phone. Hopefully this will be fixed when they make the Alias 2.
