You could try reseting it, or plugging it into the charger.

Is there a number I can call to get support for my MP3 player?

First, I'd suggest working through the site at to troubleshoot. Another good option would be to check the Insignia section at where they have a decent community sharing information about the line of MP3 and MP4 players.

Or, posting the problem description on here might help too, although most hardware problems (cracked or dark screens, wheel movement not registering, etc) are difficult to fix yourself.

If those don't help, you can try 1-877-467-4289 (Monday through Sunday, 7 am - 12am CST).

Insignia mp3 players are a little buggy in that they occasionally get file system problems that cause strange things like this to happen. First backup your songs from the mp3 player, and select "erase internal memory". That actually reformats the memory. Then put your songs back on the mp3 player. If it still doesn't work, please advise.

Help please

All I can say is hold the Off switch for at least one minute. If that doesn't shut it off, just wait for the battery to die. Mine froze once and I just let the battery run down, and when I turned it back on, everything worked fine.

Insignia Sport MP3 player

ok well i have had the same problem.
the only answer that i have found so far, is to either let the battery just die, (because it will just die, and turn off, and you should be able to turn it back on) or, you can open up the battery, take it out, and put it back in. that worked for me.
another thing, is you COULD try to hook it up to the computer, but i am not sure that fixes it. but you can always try. hope i helped!

Problems with my insignia mp3 player

A Possible solution is to charger it all the way up 'til it's full, and then try turning it on. If that doesn't work, you may have to call sansa, and/or take out the battery and put it back in. This requires a special screwdriver.
