I had a 9120 for years, great headset. Change the compatibility wheel and levels on the unit per the instruction book link below. https://www.jabra.com/_/media/Product-Documentation/Jabra-GN9120-Series/User-Manuals/User_Manual_Jabra_GN9120-GN9125_EN.pdf

Hello Jennifer,

I do not own a GN9120, or anything similar (I have an old bluetooth earbud for a cellphone), but it sounds like a typical exhausted battery issue.

Batteries get old and sometimes do not charge to full capacity. According to the pdf manual from Jabra, the headset will beep every 20 seconds if the battery is low.

Another idea is maybe they are drifting off-frequency, either the adjustment got knocked off (if there is a physical adjustment inside), or the capacitor or other component values have changed to cause them to transmit off-frequency. I am surprised there is no sort of squelch on the base unit like they have in wireless microphones used on-stage.

Also check the phone cable between the base unit and any other phone cables.

My last thought is check the power supply for the base unit, sometimes they fail and output too low of a Voltage or start becoming noisy with power line noise.

I hope you figure it out! :-)

I am thankfully not near the fires here in California...

I can not get my headset GN netcom 9120 to sink-up with the base

Hi
this has not synch up keep headset in cradle and remove power at mains plug or power lead from base count to 5 and replace power if no flashing is seen then you might have to repeat the same procedure a few times for synch to happen
the only other reason for no synch is battery in headset is not charged enough

I have a gn9120 headset that i love. suddenly, callers are complaining that they can't hear me. Is there volume adjustment or is there a defect?

Hi,
Volume adjustment is made by depressing the two + and - together until beep is heard
once beep is heard press the + button several times until louder bleep is heard this will increase transmission from headset and cure the problem

My GN9120 does not connect ...

I solved this over the weekend: I found out, that the GN9120 comes with slightly differing battery sizes. I had to push the contacts deeper inside the housing so they got in touch with the new battery again. I used a very small flat screwdriver to achieve that. You have to be careful not to destroy anything surrounding.
This was an easy solution to a stuoid problem, but the contacts are barely visible in the inside of the GN9120 so i needs to have the idea to search for that as the source of trouble,
