You might look at your furnace control board see if there is a control fuse blown, should be a small 3-5 amp fuse can be picked up at a auto store

House power tripped After power restore all the

You might try turning off power to it by flipping off the specific breaker that serves the unit. Leave it off for 2-3 minutes, turn it back on and see what you've got. If you have a manual, it could be there is a reset button, but I have no idea. . .

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

If there is no hot water, first push the reset button on the high-temperature cutoff; test the thermostat and replace if faulty (see below). Test the heating elements and replace if faulty (see below).
If there is not enough hot water, adjust the thermostat settings. As needed, reset, test and replace thermostats and heating elements if faulty.
If the water is too hot, adjust the thermostat settings and reset. Test and replace the thermostat or high-limit cutoff (see below).
An electric water heater is a 240-volt appliance that can deliver a fatal shock. Always turn off power to the heater at the electrical panel 585dc480-4881-44a8-afda-7267c0f3de26.jpgbefore beginning work, and verify that power has been shut off. Make sure others in the house know not to restore electricity prematurely. If you have any doubt as to whether electricity has been turned off, seek professional assistance.

The hard drive does not "power up". The green

I'm assuming this is a USB external drive. It's likely that the drive is failing, but to find that out for sure you'll need to remove the actual hard drive from the housing, insert it in a computer as a slave drive, and run a diskchk on it to see if it's responding correctly. If that test is successful (ie., it tests OK and you can access the drive as a slave in another computer) then it's just the USB interface on the housing that's bad. You can always just get another housing (they're inexpensive and lots of them).

Hope that's helpful.

The furnace will light up and the fan will blow but the flames cut out before my house reaches temp. i have the thermostat set at 70 and the house will not get above 55. i have tried turning the propane...

First, for those of you who might not know, "What is a flame sensor?" A flame sensor is a safety device. When your furnace's main burners ignite (light Up) the flame sensor picks up the heat from the furnace's main burning and says, "YES," and sends a signal back to the main furnace control board saying that it is OK to let the main burner stay on. Or if the main burners do not ignite, the flame sensor does not pick up the heat and says, "NO" to the main control board, Shut That Gas Valve and Main Burners Down! Thank God we have safety controls like the flame sensor. Most of the time, after turning your furnace's power off, you may clean the flame sensors with light sand cloth, emery cloth or steel wool. Reinstall the flame sensor and you are back in business! Over the years flame sensors can build up a light coating of burned-in dust and dirt. This insulates the flame sensor so that it doesn't sense the heat of the flame well enough, so by cleaning it you have almost restored it to its new condition. Seldom, but sometimes they do go out completely.

Getshotquickly, fansdontturnon, must turn on ac to.where is thermos

All engines are supposed to get up to 170 degree F very quickly.
Fans are not supposed to turn on until something like 190 degrees F.
The thermostat is under the water pump housing, and you have to take the AC, alternator, power steering, mounts, part of timing belt cover, etc., off to get at it. Takes many hours.
I suggest you first check actual temperatures with a thermometer.
It is unlikely you have both a bad thermostat and a bad fan control switch in the radiator.

Blower motor will not come on. i have a rheem furnance

Turn your fan from auto to on at thermostat, if fan doesnt come on.
Remove blower motor door to get to control panel-Turn poweroff !
Try to turn blower wheel to see if it will turn freely,

Remove thermostat wires from control board, put a jumper wire between
r and g.Put door back on and restore power, fan should run. If it does
than it is possible you have a burnt out speed on whatever cylcle heat/cool you are trying to use.

To troubleshoot this-turn power off and find where the blower wires go to
control board. exchange the wires from park to heat or cool terminals.
put cover back on and restore power.IT should work,if nothing happens then you probably have a problem with blower

How do you shut down

the pilot light always stays on, its designed to allow your heater to turn on by itself without you needing to light a match every time. if the pilot light is burning you have nothing to worry about. its when the pilot light goes out that a small amount of gas leaks into the room. and by small i mean smaller than a hand held lighter... if you still want to shut the entire thing down you could turn off the gas line feeding the heater or possibly the whole house, otherwise the pilot light will stay on. as far as the actual heater turning off, thats probably controlled by some sort of thermostat somewhere. if you set the temp to very cold it should stay off. if that doesn't work then you may need a new thermostat.

Boot failure pentium 4

here is a temporary fix, but you may like it as a permanent one. Use the Windows hibernate mode. It actually works every time! Windows makes a "System screen shot" and stores it on hard drive and then powers off. Just be aware that you must ensure enough hard drive space for this. I am using this mode every day now. I think your system is trying to reject the power-saving features selected in Windows or at CMOS settings. Try turning off (or disabling) one feature at a time. I still think hibernate is the way to go. Here is a useful tip: to force hibernate (after it has been enabled) select START-SHUT DOWN and hover over STANDBY button and then hit the SHIFT key. The STANDBY button will turn into the HIBERNATE button. This is a quick way to enter hibernate. Remember to enable SYSTEM RESTORE mode so that if anything goes wrong during this "experiment", you can easily restore Windows system. I also use RESTORE but I also "clean house" once a month by turning it off and Disk scan and defrag and turning it back on.
