Question about Nespresso D150 Espresso Machine

Grinds in Coffee...

Hi...

I have a Nespresso D150 and quite often I end up with grinds in the coffee.  I have cleaned all the necessary items according to the instructions several times.  When I begin to make the espresso, tho coffee seems to come our normally for about the first ounce then a spurt of water comes through that is very dark (with the grinds in it).

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much.

Make sure you have tightened the pod carrier/basket far enough. This happened to me early on, & I just needed to tighten up the pod basket. (They say you don't have to force it, but I DO force it as far as I can.)

Coffee is getting stuck in the shoot between the grinder and basket so coffee is very weak

Try using a bottle brush and cleaning out the residue from coffee grinding. Coffee grinds build up because of the oils in the beans. I clean mine twice a week and it works great.

Grinds too long coffee still weak

You can adjust the grind, finer will give you stronger coffee. Think water through sand vs. pebbles. There are also settings you can find in your owners manual for adjusting the length and strength of your "pull".
Try Julius Meinl espresso roast, it's dark, rich and sweet. Definitely my favortie.

Saeco talea touch - grinds & brews coffee into grounds drawer??

Try this, adjust the grind to a coarser setting atleast 2 numbers, then remove brew unit and look behind at white plastic valve, there is a small chamber under valve make sure chamber is clean and that the small discharge from chamber to drain tray is also clear. Then remove shower screen from brew unit and clean if necessary, also check the tube from the shower. Reinsert and test.
