Question about Vizio L32 32 in. LCD HDTV

Pixilating directv signal

Tonight we noticed our 32" vizio LCD (3 years old) was freaking out. pixilating signal all over the place. We changed directv receivers feeding the unit and the same problem recurred. because the tv is mounted in a frame on the wall it is not easy to change imputs or we would have tried that already going from analog hd 1 to analog hd 2. do you think changing imputs would solve the problem or is there something systemic wrong with this tv. we've already had the power supply replaced at a cost of about $250 so at some point these things become commodities and it's cheaper to buy a new one than to repair the old one. any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated

I have a 32' Vizio, colors are mixed up

This *could* be a result of the cables that connect the circuit board to the LCD loosening. These are held in place with a special process, and the average home repairer will not have the materials need to repair it. Call Vizio support and talk to them about it. They have been quite helpful to me. Just remember, you will be talking to a human, and nobody appreciates being cut down. Be polite and ask your questions nicely.
They may be able to work with a local repair shop to get it fixed.

I know the process used to attach the flex cables, but I cannot repair them myself.

Vizio 32/DirecTV - slow to change channels

Some TVs switch faster than others, plain and simple. I went from a Sony LED to a Sanyo LCD TV and there's a world of difference between the two in terms of how quickly each powers on and how fast one channel goes to the next after inputting the channel number on the respective remotes. The Sony is lightening fast compared to the Sanyo. I have a Phillips LCD in a bedroom that takes a long time as well, like the Sanyo. Personally I think you get speed with either the LED (over the LCD) and/or it's related to the quality and associated price you've paid.

Sounds like the power supply board blew. You can purchase a new one directly from Vance Baldwin. They are the only parts supplier for Vizio. http://www.vancebaldwin.com/

It's just plug and play. remove the old circuit board and replace with the new one. Not difficult and it should solve your problem for less than $100.

Black Rectangles on 42" Vizio HDTV LCD

Your DirecTV signal is probably too low. That would produce the small black rectangles (pixilation). Also, try replacing the cable you are using to get the signal from the DirecTV receiver.
