How o i get out of safe mode?

BIOS menu at power-up.
Depends on computer motherboard.
All PC's need a certain key to be pressed as soon as computer starts up to enter into the BIOS menu.
This may be F2 function key or DEL key.
Some BIOSes require function key F8 for safe mode option.
Yours may be different.
In the menu, you should look for SAFE mode.
DO NOT ALTER any other settings.
This controls the heart of your computer, wrong settings can cause major computer headaches.
So in order to offer more help, more detailed info is needed.
What make and model is the computer?
Can you supply the startup BIOS details?
Usually, as the PC starts, a small message appears at the bottom right of the screen.
This should show the BIOS version.
An example AMI Bios ver 9.01
Otherwise you can download a free app called CPUZ then run it.
CPUZ will generate a report of your PC hardware.

If a bios screen (may be unknown to you) appear then find Function Key Behavior select Multimedia Key First or Function Key First.

Function Key First

This is the default option. Press any function key to perform the associated function. For multimedia action, press Fn + the required multimedia key.

How do you use the blue Fn keys?

The use of the function keys are primarily dependent upon the software program that you are running. The F1 key usually will open a help screen. Depending on the hardware manufacturer, function keys can be used at startup to enable boot options or to get into the BIOS setup function.

Acer 5620 pressing f8 at start wont load bios either

F8 is usually reserved for Windows Safe Mode. BIOS settings are usually found with by pressing ESC, Delete, or F2 on most system. Some times I run my finger along the entire row of function keys like a piano if it isn't specified which key works during boot up.

When I unplug the mains adaptor on my laptop the screen goes brighter and then duller when the mains reapplied. How do I change it around

This is usually a BIOS adjustable feature. During startup, press the proper key (*) to enter BIOS. Look for LCD or something that would deal with brightness. Make the adjustment as desired.
You can adjust the brightness while running the computer using (usually) the function key and the brightness key. But only the BIOS adjustment will be permanent.

(*) Each computer manufacturer has their own key to get into BIOS so Google for your brand to see which key it is. Usually f2 or f10.
