Question about Jenn-Air JED8230 Electric Cooktop
We have a countertop range (Jenn Air) with 4 hot plates. The plates are solid (i.e.not a coil). They heat very slowly.
Did this problem always exist, or did it gradually occur. If this is a new problem, then I would suggest that there is a bad connection someplace in the circuit. I would troubleshoot this using a voltmeter and start from the circuit breaker, and look for voltage drops across connection points (including the switches to turn on the hot plates)
If this was always a problem, check to be sure that your voltage supply matches that of the unit requirements
