Kenmore Dishwasher Won't Drain

After the last load of dishes, I noticed that the bottom is still quite full of water.  This model has an electronic control panel with a "Cancel/Drain" button on it.  If I push this button, the motor runs, but it acts more like it is in a wash cycle instead of draining.  Water sprays all around inside instead of draining.  Is it correct that the motor goes in one direction for washing, and another direction for draining?  Do you think it is spinning in the wrong direction?

I have checked my drain hose and it is clear.  I snaked it out just to be sure.  After looking at the schematic, it seems that everything is controlled by the computer board.  Do you think that an otherwise working computer could be causing the problem with the drain cycle alone?
