Here's what to do and if this doesn't work replace the dvd drive. Open the tray and you'll see the lense assembly. Get a q-tip and moisten one end with windex and leave the other dry. Very gently and carefully rub the lens with the wet end of the q-tip and then clean with the dry end. Be carefull not to press down hard on the lense it may damage the laser. This should work.
