I have a 42'' dynex tv, without an instruction manual. The picture is too large for the tv and I need to find out how to fix the pixels, I have tried every button and even all the choices in the menu. Nothing worked!! Please help, thanks so much

Yes the picture is cutting off at the top and bottom, I think that it is the pixels that need adjusting, maybe I am wrong. Yes I have HD programming.

The model number is DX-LCD42HD-09, thank you for your help!

I can probably find a manual for you. What is the model number of the TV?

When the picture is too large, do you mean the top and the bottom of the picture is cut off?

With the pixels, do you mean the picture quality is low? Do you have HD programming?

You can get your manual here:
http://www.retrevo.com/support/Dynex-DX-LCD42HD-TVs-manual/id/22974bh131/t/2/
This is for the DX-LCD42HD-09.

The ZOOM button on the top of the remote is the one you want to keep pressing until you get the picture size you want.
If you are using a HDMI cable for HD, the HD channels should fill in the screen automatically. The non-HD channels would have the empty spaces on the sides for 4:3 screen format.
Best to keep it on normal mode, so the top and the bottom don't get cut off.

Dynex Flat Screen 22" w/DVD

When the picture goes out, try to open and access the TVs menu using the Dynex remote. if the menu fails to open up you can bet there is a problem with the backlight on the TV. Letting the TV rest and then it working again indicates heat as the source of the problem. Check to see if your still in your 1yr warranty or if you have a protection plan at best buy, the TV needs help.

If the Menu were to still open, you can blame your cable/satellite set top box.

We just bought a 40"

Without HD content, the TV will scale up the smaller-sized video. This means it will "stretch" the content, making it grainy or pixelated. The only way to get better quality video is to get HD service.

It sounds like the LCD controller board problem, usually if you cool it down the problem will go away, and comes back when it heats up again.

Connect a antenna to the tuner that is for air and scan your channels for air not cablein the set up menue. Some channels may pixelate because of a weak signal.

I'm house and pet sitting at a friends' house who have a large screen Vizio TV and DirecTV. Right now, the TV is set on HDMI, but there's a floating message on a black screen: ''No Signal!'' This...

You need to make sure that is has enough signal, if you have poor signal, you will get pixels(as oppesed to snowy picture on CRT televisions) make sure all plugs are plugged in correct, and try diff inputs from DirecTV to the Tv to ensure its not the HDMI input thats faulty. Good Luck.

Dynex 42" HDTV - pressed "Comp" button now cant get back to TV

Press the TV button on the remote. You are confusing the Comp button with the Input button which allows you to switch between input ports.
