Green output from the dvi-b would mean the motherboard is bad cause the connector is directly connected to the motherboard. Motherboard would need to be replaced.

You already tried the cable on another computer and it worked and that would have been the other step to verify the cable. was working.

What is causing a green hue to the entire screen?

1) Check that the plug is tightened into the device and projector. 2) check the prongs on the plug. Are any bent or missing? If so, get a new cable.

Tip: If you can move up to the next plug level, that could help too. So if you are using RGB, try a DVI cable if your projector takes it and your device outputs it. Other connections include are the Display Port and HDMI. They are on par with DVI, but they can deliver audio. Again that is only if the projector accepts it and sound can be played through the projector.

What adaptor do i need to be able to plug my laptop and internet to my PT-53TW53g panasonic color proj sys

You don't need an adapter if your laptop has a DVI port. Simply connect the laptop's DVI port to the TV's Digital In port and ensure the laptop is outputting a standard 720*480, 1280*720 or 1920*1080 resolution. If your laptop doesn't have a DVI output then you will need a DVI to HDMI converter cable. Connect the HDMI end to the laptop and the DVI end, of the adapter, to the DVI cable.

How do I set my Dell laptop to Samsung TV using HDMI

If you have a HDMI output on your laptop, then you should be able to plug a HDMI cable into a HDMI input on your T.V then change your input source on the t.v. If you don't have a HDMI output on your laptop then you should be able to use a DVI cable as long as your t.v has a DVI input, they also make a DVI to HDMI adapters, but keep in mind that DVI cables/adapters do not support audio.

How to turn on rgb from lap top to tv.

In order to connect your laptop to your TV using RGB, you need an RGB adapter. RGB is also known as component video; it breaks up a video signal into red, green and blue. laptops do not have RGB outputs. However, many laptops have VGA, DVI or HDMI outputs. An RGB adapter connects the single VGA, DVI, or HDMI cable to an RGB cable, which is actually three different cables tied together. INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Connect either the VGA, DVI or HDMI (in the order of increasing video quality) cable to the VGA, DVI or HDMI port on your laptop, depending on what is available. 2. Connect the other end of the cable to the side of the RGB adapter with the single input. 3. Connect the RGB cables to the red, green and blue ports on the other side of the RGB adapter. 4. Connect the other end of the RGB cables to an available component input on the back of the TV. 5. Tune the TV to the component video input you used through your television's menu. 6. Turn on your laptop. The laptop should now display on your TV screen.

Over last 3 years screen has become progressively darker, particularly on the left hand side. It's difficult to see. I was thinking about buying a separate monitor, but not sure what cables I would need to...

Sounds like a backlight problem. Backlights can be replaced but it all depends on the make/model of laptop you have. Connecting an external monitor to your laptop also depends on the type of connection you have on the laptop.

Most (if not all) will have a VGA output which requires a standard 15pin VGA cable. Newer laptops might have DVI or Mini-DVI. Some even have HDMI. So ultimately, the type of cable you need really depends on the type(s) of output your laptop is able to display and the types of inputs your monitor supports.

When I plug my lap top into my tv via hdmi cable I get a picture but I do not get any sound. I have a year old LG 52" LCD tv

My MacBook laptop and probably others do not output sound on its mini-DVI connector and thus not into the HDMI adaptor. I would have to use the wired sound output or the optical output--same hole--into the sound system. If you have a DVI-HDMI adaptor, then that is the problem, there is no sound wiring on the DVI side. Same for VGA, which does not have digital video only analog.

I have Epson Projector and Acer Laptop both with DVI connections. How do I connect a Nintendo Wi-fit consul so I can play and hear the games. I have a wireless sensor.

I've never seen a projector with DVI ONLY -- double check your projector and all compartments and see if it has any other inputs. The wii can use the regular composite, red, yellow, white output. The wii can use SVideo and the Wii can use component output -- red, green, blue video and red/white audio. I do not think there is a DVI cable for the Wii.

Acer Extensa 5630EZ does not start

Not really sure--could be a motherboard problem. But you say the computer is less than 3 months old. That means it's still under warranty--so call their tech support. You paid for support when you bought the machine, so I would use it.

Gateway laptop to phillips tv

Hi, there, pleasy clarify the following:
What is your Gateway model? Is your TV an older tube type or a new HDTV? Does it have other input ports besides the standard cable input and the RCA you mentioned? You may be able to use S-Video if your laptop has the output port and so does your old TV. Or if you have a newer laptop that includes DVI and you have an HDTV, then you can use a DVI to HDMI cable which by the way will result in the best image quality.
