Usually this is the front seal around the door they do crack with age. you will have to pull the front of the washer off to change it any appliance parts co. should be able to get you one

If I recall correctly, the Neptune had the front of the drum tilted upward so the water level was at or below the bottom of the door to minimize the potential for leakage. If the door seal looks good, my best guess would be that the source of the leak would be either the water pump or the hoses.

Water leak from the bottom of washer

Hi friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that water is leaking from the bottom of your Frigidaire washer. There are many components that could cause a washer to leak the bellow (gasket), leak from drain hose, drain pump, or water valve. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend having a technician come out to diagnose and repair your appliance. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

You have a split pressure switch hose by the sound of it remove the hose from your pressure switch and where it connects to the bowl take the hose to your nearest parts supplier and purchase a new length refit and test make sure there is no water in the bowl before you connect hose.Hope this helps you

Hello Myles,

Your description suggests water has leaked (and is probably still leaking) into the bottom of the dishwasher under the wash compartment and is tripping the anti-flood protection system. The pump continuing to run even with the door open would confirms that the anti-floop protection has been activated, although the problem could be a fault with the float-switch for this safety feature.

I suspect you have a leak. When you leave the washer for a few hours a certain amount of this water will evaporate. This allows the float to fall deactivating the float-switch so you can start a wash cycle. However, as soon as you start a cycle, more water leaks into the bottom of the washer and the anti-flood protection system trips again.

You really need to have a look under the wash compartment and check for the presence of water there before you do anything else. If there is water in the bottom, pull the washer out and tilt it backwards about 10-15 degrees to allow any water to run out. You should then be able to use the washer again, but if there is a leak, the problem will return fairly quickly, so this really needs to be investigated fully.

If you pull the washer out to remove any water in the base, I'd suggest putting some old towels behind the washer before tilting it, to absorb any water that runs out. I also suggest getting someone to help you tilt the washer as they are heavy and the bottom can slide out when you tilt it.

You should also switch off the dishwasher and the power supply and close the water check valve ot disconnect the water supply hose before attempting this

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

Heavy water leak during when washing clothes

disconnect the hose on the bottom and see if the seal is good.If it is good, then remove the back panel, start the washer and watch and see what seal is broke and you can visually see the exact spot the water is leaking from.

Leak from maytag top load coin machine during spin drain cycle only

Possible that you would have a tub seal leak if it is only noticable during spin cycle. Possible that it "drips" slightly while in agitation, but not enough to notice it. While in spin mode you have a lot more parts moving as well as a lot more water pressure on the seal itself. Pump could also be leaking, but highly doubtful since it would leak a constant amount at all times. Good Luck!!! Jim
