Question about Pioneer DEH-P2500XM CD Player
Hi. I'm a first-time user of this service and apologize in advance if this is a duplicate of another posting.
I bought a car with a Pioneer DEH-P2500 installed and would like to remove it form the chassis so I can install an RCA connector adapter and connect my iPod to it.
I can operate the unit just fine and remove the faceplate.
Does anyone out there know how to remove/release the basic unit from the housing/chassis in the dash so I can connect the adapter?

You need two little flat pieces of metal that slide down each side of the unit to release the clips these come with the radios usually if you know anyone that has purchased a pioneer head unit you should be able to borrow them to do it. if not go talk to any install shop they have them laying around and will sometimes part with them. if you cannot get ahold of them you will have to remove your dash and pull the bolts out and remove the entire chassis to get at the back then reinstall it. you did not say which car you have so i cannot help with the dash removal.
