There should be a sticker with all the info right below the starter rope. You will see a serial # and maybe a family #, and the Model # should be on there too.
You can check on this site for one, by entering the manufacturer and model number of the tiller. Make sure to enter the tiller manufacturer, not the engine,
Go to your local small engine supply store with the model an serial numbers. you can buy the spring all ready wound and in a metal container that will drop right in and you will be set togo.
Electric tiller, and it will not run ?
I would check the cord that you plug into.
You must remove the plastic housing, by removing the screws.
Next look at the plug, is it in good shape, has anything been pulled out of it ?
The motor brushes should also be inspected.
