Can't open the lens and it's always low battery

I just bought it last January 2013 and the problem occurred last June 2013. so i just used it for 5 months. one day, after charging it when i tried to turn it on the lens comes out and goes back and then it went black out. i tried turning it on again then it says that the battery is low, however, i just charged it. then i cannot open the lens anymore but i can see the pictures when it is connected to the charger.

It would appear to be the battery or the battery contacts. Clean the contacts on the battery and recharge the battery. If still does not charge then get a new battery

SOURCE: Olympus E-300 Evolt - LCD Screen doesn't come & SSWF light stays on

My camera is working again, but the problem is not completely solved. What I did was to put on the old lens, take out the battery then turn on the camera and finally put on the battery again. And now it works. But the problem with the new lens (Zuiko digital 40-150) continues.

SOURCE: Jammed Lens - Olympus Fe-330

I called the store I bought it from, as well as the Olypmus toll free number. They both told me I had to mail my camera to them with a brief description of the problem. It is still under warranty, but I have to pay for shipping to get it to them. They will repair it and send it back to me. Do not try and fix the camera yourself, instead get it fixed professionally with all the proper tools once and for all.

Replace battery and alternator 2x in 6 months

Get a cheap multimeter and test for drain, sometimes it is the starter, check the battery at all off, and running, your parts I hope are warrantied have them both tested and checked, The starter and or coil can cause weird electrical issues and a bad ground could be causing everything to work harder. You need an honest mechanic who cares about solving the problems.

I haven't used this camcorder in a couple of months (bought new in January). When I went to charge it last night, neither the mains charger or USB lead will charge it. Does it just need a new...

The battery should be good if it was bought in January, with that said nothing is nperfect or lasts forever, there are always issues with some things. If all your connections from the charger or USB are good and tight and the cables are good, the either the battery is bad or the plug in on the camera is bad, or the battery nmay be installed incorrectly. That is about all there can be .

I have the same problem, the batteries do not last. Just bought new high quality batteries and put them in. The camara is already showing low battery and turn's itself off (just after putting them in,...

this occurs in any device that uses battery/s in some cases a small short forms that drains the batts there is only two fixs have the fault found by a service tech and repaired ( expensive and very hard to find) or store the batts out of the camera untill its being used now if the batts are not lasting in the camera then its the batterys simple. always remember with units such as camers always always use rechargable batts they give a heck of a lot more power drive than shelff pre charged batts

I733 POARIOD PICK CAMERA.

I just dropped mine last night and the lens got in this funny bent position, so I popped it back to where its suppose to be. Now the camera turns on and off without the low battery signal but the lens doesn't retract or do anything by itself anymore. I can hear the little motor running that retracts the lens, but the lens itself doesn't actually move when I hear the little noises. So now, I have a wonderful camera with the lens stuck out. I should state that I have the i631. It's just like the i733 but one megapixel smaller. I've the receipt from the retailer that I bought it from so I'm hoping polaroid will at least look at it. I bought it back in June! It's only 4 to 5 months old!

I'm not sure if this will work for all of you, but try plugging it into your computer. When I had this issue for no apparent reason, plugging it into my computer seemed to awaken my camera out of the protective sleep mode that it was in. Sadly, it's not working for me this time.:-(
