First I would make sure the batteries are fresh, installed correctly, and the contacts are clean of corrosion. If everything is correct and clean then unfortunately your RCA mp3 player is no longer any good. I also had the same issue with an RCA a few years ago. Best of luck!

I have an IBM NetVista and I set it up in a new location and now I'm getting a check signature cable - no connection on the monitor

If the connections are fine, then maybe your video card where the cable connects to the computer has gone bad.

Take a look at the end of the video cable that connects into the computer. Look at it and make sure the prongs or pins inside the cable are not bent. It might look like some are missing, but that is normal. They should not be bent. If they are bent, the connection will not be established. Use a pair tweezers or a butter knife and a small flat head screw drive to straighten the bent one out if that's the case.

Bad power cord or bad connection on laptop?

Probably the DC Power Jack which is where the power cord plugs into the computer. Take a ink pen and stick the tip in where the power cord goes to see if it wiggles. If so, that's your problem.

My dlink 615 wireless routers connects fine and works for awhile. If I leave my computer for a bit, when I come back it isn't connected and doesn't connect again unless I shut down and restart

This should be related to power management setting or the wireless network adaptor present in the computer.

Access devicemanager (right click on mycomputer and click on Manage).
Click on device manager in the left side of this window
Right side click on the + sign besides network adaptors
Double click on the wireless network adaptor there
In the properties window click on the power management and disable power management for the card.
Now try checking if the issue is rectified.

HP C8189 All in one printer....Error Oxc 19a0005

Please remove all cartridges. Using a moist cloth clean the golden contacts on cartridge as well as printer. Use a moist cloth to clean the nozzle of cartridge. Dont insert the cartridge yet.

Please do this :
1. Remove the power cable from printer. Remove the USB cable that connects printer to computer (remove it from printer as well as computer's usb port)
2. Press the printer power button and keep pressed for 3 minutes then release
3. Now plug in the power cable and usb cable (connect printer to computer) and power on the printer.

Then plug in the cartridges.

Now see if its working fine. Let me know.

Lg w2234s no signal?

shut down the computer completely by pressing on the power button until no sound is heard. Then make sure that the screen is properly connected to the computer and turn on the computer. If this doesn't help, disconnect the cable that connects the screen with the computer, see that the connection looks fine (no broken pins) and then connect again to the computer.

When i turn on computer only the power on light displays and nothing on the monitor. at first thought it was the mkonitor, but hookrd up to others and same prob. help please!

  1. Check to make sure your monitor is on! Some monitors have more than one power button or switch - check to make sure they're all switched on.
  2. Check for disconnected monitor power cable connections. Your monitor might be working fine and your only problem may be a loose or unplugged monitor power cable.
  3. Check for disconnected monitor data cable connections. Again, your monitor might be turning on without a problem but no information can get to it because the cable that connects your monitor to your computer is disconnected or loose.

Hi forum, I have been using Compaq N610c notebook and was working fine but was not power ON . on AC adapter but it was working on Battery. From last day, the battery become zero showing battery indicator...

It's possible that the AC adapter "died", and then your computer ran on battery-power until the battery went to 0%.

Or, the socket on the laptop where the AC adapter connects could have broken, or become disconnected from the motherboard, such that the power from the AC adapter was not being accepted, meaning that your computer was running on battery-power.

Take the AC adapter and the computer to a qualified technician, who can test that the AC adapter is working fine, and can disassemble the laptop, to inspect that socket where it connects.

Speakers not working on my acer al1714 computer screen

For no sound issues please ensure if the speakers are working fine by connecting them with a known good device other than the computer...
If they are fine then please check the connection of the speakers if they are intact (for details on connection please check the manual that came with the speakers...if its a two set of speaker the left connects to the right and the right connects to the power and  another connector goes to the line out which is green in color at the back of the computer)and if the speakers are receiving the power properly also if the volume level is set to a level that can be heard...please ensure that the audio is turned on in BIOS if the computer has and integrated soundcard....when the computer boots to the desktop check volume control to see if any of the mute option is checked if so uncheck it and also setthe volume level to high...in case the volume control doesnot open you will need to install the sound drivers...also ensure that the windows audio service is started in services you can check the same by clicking start>run>type"SERVICES.MSC">WINDOWS AUDIO if not started or disabled right click go to properties and then enable the service and click start.for the appropriate driver please specify the soundcard or if integrated then specify the motherboard details

Unable to actually connect to the internet?

Have you tried restarting your router? If not, try unplugging the ac power from the router, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in. That will usually take care of this problem. If that doesn't work, you can try going into "manage your wireless connections", delete your wireless network from the list, then reconnect to your network.
