Hotpoint DC28 Dishwasher Problem

-   hotpoint DC27 slimline free standing dish washer. goes through pre wash but then the wash light and the pre wash light start to flash and the dishwasher does not empty it just stays like that. we have sucked the water out checked for any blockages . re started the machine and the same happened again on christmas day i may add.. any ideas would be most grateful ......-   Guest

-   I have a Hotpoint dc 28 Slimline dishwasher. when I turn the power on the Delay light flashes will not let me start a wash. I have turned washer on and off but same light flashes. Can you please help. Many Thanks-   bazmundo

-   hi just installed the dishwasher in new home and cant get it to work, it makes a humming noise then after a few minutes the pre-wash and wash lights flash simultaniosly, i have checked the water pressure which appears to be ok and both hoses,-   Guest

-   We have a Hotpint DC28 slim dishwasher and have experienced the following problem (on xmas day as well!);

The dishwasher conducts its prewash, then the prewash and wash lights begin to flash simultaneously, causing progress to stop in and the machine to hum indefinitely with no further action.

Upon inspection of the manual we discovered that the manual offered no help in this situation other than to call "for immediate technical assistance."

This costing a fee of £89 and this being the third time of pondering weather to just purchase a new model, ours being only around 3 years old.

We pulled out the machine and inspected the back and pipes to ensure there was no blockage and as the machine was conducting the prewash and emptying the water we assumed that a pipe block was out of the question and it must be some kind of fault with the machine it's self.

Previously the problems we had encountered and called out the engeneer for were;

1) Door closure
2) New motor and element

It would be fantastic if anyone could help us with our issue or have any idea what could have happened
