My cd drive in the acer will not come out cn you

Hi,

If the eject button on the faceplate doesn't work there are two other ways to open it.

1. Open My Computer, Right-Click the drive, then select Eject from the grey menu.

2. get a paperclip, straighten it, then insert it slowly and gently into the small hole in the DVD faceplate. when you feel the switch, press in with gentle preasure then back out. This should release the drive lock and it should pop open.

If neither of these two solutions works there may be a bent lock or a disk jammed in the drive. You will have to identify the set screw on the bottom of the laptop that holds the dvd then remove the screw and slide it out, then retry step two while giving the faceplate a bit of preasure.

Get paper clip and find the little hole and viola. Also go to computer, right click on your drive and press eject
