Re: camera

If problem is coming continously for a long time then before starting camera try taking taking out sim card reinsert it back then try the camera option. If this doesn't works then simply take back up of ur data and do master reset of your phone.

You will have to get the phone warrantied through your provider. You have a bad camera in the phone. I have replaced alot of these camera which causes the application to close.

Whenever i open up my camera it says "could not start the camera. close other applications and try opening again."

Hi, when a camera says could not open the camera close other application and try again ,means that either to much application where opened at a tie or the camera is corrupted.

First, scan through phone and see if unnecessary applications where open,If not, that means the camera is faulty and will eeed to be replayed.

This message displays any time i try to access the camera. "could not start the camera. close other applications and try opening the camera again". please help.

This is what you should do, press and hold the menu key.. you'll get a display in a rectangular form with all programs that are currently running on your blackberry.

You can scroll through the open applications and for you to close all running applications, you'll have to click on your trick ball to get you to that open application and then you close it.

Go over the process of holding the menu key for about 10 seconds again until the rectangular window opens with applications that are currently open.

Click on another program and close it.... do this for all the applications until your have about 4 applications running. Once it's reduced to this you would be able run your camera.

My blackberry curve can't open the camera cuz it says to close an application that is open. I have gone through all applications one by one closing and it still says the same thing.

The camera module pops out of its socket.

Power off the Blackberry

Open the rear cover of the Blackberry

Remove the battery

Apply GENTLE pressure around the camera

Press around the lens and listen for a POP noise.

Place the battery and cover back and test the picture and camcorder mode.

If you see the pic by distored pic on the LCD then you are half way there!

Sorry about the prompt on your phone, please follow the the simple steps I'll outline to close the open applications on your phone.

Step 1. Press and hold the "Home Key", you would have the open applications show up on the left corner of your screen. Scroll to 1st application you wish to close, and then ok it. Once you do this you would be in that application that is open.

Step 2. when trying to close the application that you are in right now, select on the options on the bottom left of your screen and ok exit. Once you do this that application is closed.

Step 3. repeat the process on Step 1 & Step 2 until you have just one application running on your e71, which is the "home screen".

Hope this helped, please specify if it did.

kind Regards

Blackberry 8130 Curve Camera Troubleshooting

I had this problem and I've tried everything posted and nothing worked so I just started messing around with my phone and may have figured it out. Here's what I did.

1. Click the Menu Button
2. Scroll to Options Icon (the wrench) and click it
3. Click Advanced Options
4. Click Applications and wait for the Apps to load.
5. Scroll down and delete the apps that you dont need (see what I deleted)
6. I first deleted ICQ Messanger by scrolling over it and selecting the menu button then clicked delete, then clicked Yes and let it reboot
7. After it rebooted I clicked the Camera button on the side and it worked after I rebooted
8. Then I went back in and deleted Yahoo Messanger and let it reboot again. (This is up to you)
9. Last I deleted Windows Live Messenger and let reboot once again. (This is up to you)
I deleted these because I didnt use them anways. These were the only 3 apps that I deleted since I never used them. If you want, you could even delete Brick Breaker if you dont play it but I wouldnt delete any other Apps other than these.
