Question about HP PSC 1610 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Here's the deal... My printer worked well at home on a different computer a few days ago, but now- it just stopped. The thing is that i can't even install the software for it, but in the middle it asks you to check the connections to electricity and usb and make sure that it's turned on. So i tried to turn it on and it just wouldn't. everything is connected properly and plugged in and it still doesn't work. There seems to be a problem with electrical connections inside, because my computer doesn't identify the printer as a new hardware when i tried to plug it in via usb. I tried reconnecting cables several times as i thought i might have missed something or plugged sonething in too light. But-as I said-nothing works. Any ideas, please?
Good troubleshooting. Disconnect your printer from the PC and try the following:
Go to "Control Panel" -> "System" and click "Device/Hardware Manager". Check that "Show Hidden Devices" is checked inside "Options" and delete the USB ports it has listed, restart windows to have it re-install them and connect your printer. does it show any life signs?
