Replacing frigidaire wall oven door light/fan switch

I am replacing the door light switch part # 318089913 with the frigidaire superceded part #316445501 on a Frigidaire convection wall oven Model # PLEB30S8CCA The new switch has four terminals, two NC and two NO, and no common, they do not interact. The old switch has three terminals one common, one NC, and one NO. the wiring harness connects the two NC terminals allowing the light to function and only one of the NO terminals leaving the convection fan circuit permanently open. Frigidaire did not provide any information or additional wiring harness with the new switch to facilitate installing the new switch. Frigidaire will not provide any technical assistance to anyone that is not an approved frigidaire technician. It appears an additional lead from the L1 circuit needs to be provided to the remaining terminal. However the terminals on the back of the switch are narrow and close together making installing an addition insulated female connector of the correct size difficult, if I could find one. Additionally the L1 circuit has no available open terminal to connect the other end to power, although a piggyback conncector may work. Does anyone know the prescribed proceedure to retrofit this switch to an older oven? I'm assuming there is a proceedure described in the secret service manual for authorzed frigidaire technicians. Thanks for your help.

Frigidaire Gallery series model GLEB30T8CBA key pad not working

Hello Dana, thank you for your post!
From my understanding your Frigidaire oven is displaying an error code of "F8" and your keypad is not working properly. An "F8" error stands for runaway temperature (overheating). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting the power cord for at least ten minutes.

If that does not help correct your issue then you could have a problem with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would suggest having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Frigidaire electric wall oven wont open error code f90

Error Code E90 typically means that you have a faulty motor door latch, lock motor assembly, door light switch or a defective EOC. You would need this to be diagnosed by a professional technician in order to properly repair the wall oven.

If tripping and turning the circuit breaker off for about 10 minutes does not work, contact Frigidaire. Sounds like the control board and/or door switch will need replacing.

My frigidaire gas range has a F90 on it when I tried the self cleaning oven feature

F90 Maximum oven door unlock time exceeded.
F91 Maximum oven door unlock attempts exceeded.
F92 Maximum oven door open time exceeded.
F93 Maximum oven door lock time exceeded.
F94 Maximum oven door lock attempts exceeded.

1. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check the wiring between EOC & Lock Motor Micro Switch.

2. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Replace the Motor Door Latch assembly if necessary.

3. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check for binding of the Latch Cam, Lock Motor Rod & Lock Motor Cam.

4. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check to see if Lock Motor Coil is open. If open, replace Lock Motor Assembly.

5. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Lock Motor continuously runs - if Micro Switch is open, replace Lock Motor Assembly.

6. (F92, 93 & 94) Check oven door Light Switch - if open, replace Switch.

7. If all situations above do not solve problem, replace EOC.

F90 is a door lock code, Try this...
unplug the range.
wait 1 minute.
turn the range back on,
then while holding in on the oven door.
start another self clean.
wait 2 minutes.
then cancel the self clean.

do not release the door until the door lock light goes out.

Interior oven light won't shut off.

Hi, i would check the pressure switch and its connection as well. either the switch is malfunctioning or the wires and connectors are corroded. simply replacing the wires or switch will fix this issue. the switch is usually located on the rim of the inside of the oven door. it will make contact with the oven door and as the oven door closes, the pressure switch is depressed inwards, thus, opening the circuit and cutting power to the light.

Please rate and god bless:)
