Wiring for dryer timer GE model dvlr223ee2ww

I took the top off my dryer to find out a nickle was in between the drum and it riding rim, my felt had to be replaced but to get as far as I did, i dropped the controls off the back. I am left with two brown wires unattached. One is short and one is long. Where do they go on the timer?

the diagram isnt showing what wires run to the timer, they are just labeled with letters. the two that came off are brown and come from the right side of the drum.one short and one long.

The letters should correspond to the color. (i.e., O = orange, R = red, BLU = blue, BLK = black, BR = brown, V = violet, etc.)

Have you checked inside the control panel? There's usually a wiring diagram located there that is provided by the manufacturer.

I found out that the short brown wire connects to the timer, the other long brown wire attaches to the black wire on the start button. It has a spliced end to attach a second wire on it. Thanks for the help anyways.

If both are the same colour "brown" just replace and stick in empty space place on timer.

My ge dryer is hanging clothes around the drum and leaving them black. mostly wash cloths at a corner. it has a squeak like a cricket.

Hello darrellandru, the problem is most likely going to be the drum slides. On the top drum bering, there are four plastic strips, the drum sits on these strips and those strips are what the drum rides on. You may also have problems with the drum gasgket (the felt that is on the bottom plastic drum bering).

Make sure the felt on the rim of the drum is secure and the plastic glides that the drum sits on are not worn down.

Looking for dryer diagram

There should be a schematic on the inside of the back cover, sometimes it is located in the top control panel somewhere(timer panel)

Drum seems to be rubbing and making noise when turning

the drum does rub ... generally, there is no front or back to a drum. It rides on the rim on the back and on a smaller rim on the door. I normally find a felt "bearing" at these locations. and sometimes, there are wheels at the back on the bottom. Gravity and the drive belt make it work.

I hope this helps you

Replacing felt around drum - model dpsr610eg0wt

On the DPSR610EGWT if you open the dryer door and look at the top of that opening There are two small phillips screws that hold down the top of the dryer. Unscrew those, lift the top and then slide it to the left to remove the top. Next, near the top of the seams between the front and side panels is a screw. Unscrew the small screw and the front will lift off. Be careful because the drum is supported by the front and there are also wires connected on the left. Hope this helps!

Squeaky drum I have replaced felt that the drum rides on still squeaks think it is in the back model #DVL223GA G.E.

You will have to open the top once again. Remove the front panel and the belt and then un screw the three screws inside the middle of the drum and remove it. Go to this it will show you the part you need to grease with high temp grease. www.repairclinic.com/SSPartdetail.aspx?s=t-DVL223GA-%3d%3di771336&PartID=771336

Front felt drum seal on ge came off---hard to repair?

Open the dryer door. At the top of the door opening, there should be two screws holding the top of the dryer down. Remove those screws and the top will rotate up, giving you access to the drum.

two possibilities come to mind. one) the drum bearing is shot! second) the drum rides on two felt and plastic "bearings" at the front of the dryer. these felts might be completely worn causing the drum to flop around.
