Stejones22, the manual supplied with your motherboard should provide you with the right info to hook it up.  Hopefully the connectors from the case are in a big bundle and all you have to figure out is orientation, but you might not be so lucky and have individual connectors all of which you must match with their corresponding spot on the motherboard connector.  my atx case - moz-screenshot.jpgThese connectors are located near the bottom of your motherboard and probably say usb near them.  I'm including a simple picture taken straight out of the Asus  manual.  This should be all the info you need to finish connecting them.  Hope this helps and good luck.

So you have a case with front connections and no place to hook those up? You will have to get a different case, that is a nice motherboard.

I have a ECS A740GM-M Motherboard in an Asus TX-381 case. I can't get the 2 front usb ports to work. What am I not wiring up right?

Make sure you are putting the front usb header connector on the proper USB pin connection on the motherboard. You should see nine pins in 2 rows together. Check the manual that came with the motherboard to find the correct pins location.

Hi Red,

I had a similar problem on a different case though. They might have similar causes.

The front usb port circuit board was connected to the MB with a ribbon cable. The prior owner had the cable attached backwards. It worked fine, until you plugged in a USB device, instant crash.

Can't say for certain this is what is happening with you, but it is a possibility.

I'm sure you already know, pin 1 is the striped cable. On the board pin 1 has an arrow.

Best regards

How do you use/connect the blue USB 3 cable in the AZZA Hurrican 2000 case? Does it require a motherboard with a USB 3 connection? Or does it require a USB 3 PCI card? Right now it is just dangling into...

You need a usb header for it on your main board or you need an external usb 3 cable to run it to a usb 3 port at the back of your box.

What I'm not quite understanding is why you have the blue cable as well as a normal usb connector dangling from the end of it. When I connected both of those up to usb3 ports I shorted out my motherboard. Not good.

Also I'm not entirely sure that the blue cable works for me. I couldn't read my external flash drive with it.

the case isnt amd athlon 2100 xp, thats the processor, the case is either a atx or micro atx case, so refer back to the case and find out if it is a atx case or a micro atx case, then find a micro atx or atx motherboard so you dont have to replace all of your components

The APEVIA letters on the front of the case will not light up. Everything else works fine. What could be the problem? The LEDs?

well it could be the leds or even the connection from them to the board try to investigate the connection before replacing the leds!

Need manual or instructions for connecting frint

The model of the motherboard is actually more helpful. Most of the FP Connectors will be labeled, i.e. HDLED +/-, PWR LED +/-, etc. Loook in your motherboard manual for which pins they relate to.
