Re: my atx case

Stejones22, the manual supplied with your motherboard should provide you with the right info to hook it up.  Hopefully the connectors from the case are in a big bundle and all you have to figure out is orientation, but you might not be so lucky and have individual connectors all of which you must match with their corresponding spot on the motherboard connector.  moz-screenshot.jpgThese connectors are located near the bottom of your motherboard and probably say usb near them.  I'm including a simple picture taken straight out of the Asus  manual.  This should be all the info you need to finish connecting them.  Hope this helps and good luck.6d17f84.jpg

Case switch connected to motherboard is messed up. i need a new switch for the case or the configuration for the pins on the motherboard to be able to use a new case/new switch

The Power On switch is located inside the plastic Power On button assembly.

It is a Momentary Contact Switch, and is named an ATX power on switch.
This ATX Power On switch I have found fits many computers,

The plastic front panel of a desktop computer is the Front Panel.
The pin area on the motherboard, that the cables (Wires) from the Front Panel connect to, is the Front Panel header.

Tell me the manufacturer name, and Model Number of the computer, or tell me the manufacturer name, and Model Number of the motherboard, and let me see if I can find a Pinout for it's Front Panel header.
(What pins the cables connect to)

I need help with connecting my case wires to the motherboard

those wires are for the USB not audio, the meaning of the
writing no the wires are:
vcc=5 volts, -D=data negative, +D= data positive,GND=ground.
look in the manual for usb connection, if the mainboard has the header connection for them connect the wires to it if not just leave them out, secure them out of the way.

Is there a way to attach mutimedia card reader to gateway micro atx motherboard

I'm not sure which model number you have, but you are able and have USB ports on your computer, then the answer is yes. You can do it two ways: One way (simplest way) is to buy an external multi-reader that plugs into a USB port. The second (More permanent), is when you open up your case and look at your motherboard, you should see a white cable that is connecting to your front-mounted USB ports. Follow it back to the motherboard and see if you have another slot to put another cable in for you multi-reader (and make sure you have a spot available in the front of your case to put the multi-reader). If you don't have a spot, or another plug, then go to and buy an internal reader with at least one or two USB ports, and replace your existing front USB port.

Ok! I have an ak32 shuttle mother board I'm wanting to upgrade. Over the years I've added newer graffics, audio, extra usb ports, and earthnet card. I built the pc in 2002. I had a cooling fan recently go...

the case isnt amd athlon 2100 xp, thats the processor, the case is either a atx or micro atx case, so refer back to the case and find out if it is a atx case or a micro atx case, then find a micro atx or atx motherboard so you dont have to replace all of your components

The manual is Here:

However, wires to the case are specified by the case maker (you did not specify). Just about all of them mark the connectors on the wire ends with their functions. Just match with the manual's jumper description.

Unable to fix casing wires to motherboard

those arent seriously important wires anyway  all they do is make it so you can use your front usb and audio jacks  you should have the same ones on the back of your mobo  you can try finding those wires from your case maker  what brand case is it  try going to there web site to see if there available  if not you may have to soldier them together to get them working again...
one more thing  try ebay  maybe someone is selling those wires or just the front part of that case good luck
