If you see an error message telling you that the product's fax memory is full, try these solutions:
If you set the product to save received faxes in the product's memory or inbox, delete any faxes you have already read.
If you set the product to save received faxes on a computer, turn on the selected computer. Once the faxes are saved on the computer, they are deleted from the product's memory.
If you set the product to save received faxes on a memory device, connect the selected memory device containing the save fax folder to the product. Once the faxes are saved on the memory device, they are deleted from the product's memory.
Note:Make sure the memory device has enough available memory and is not write protected.
If the memory is full, try sending a monochrome fax using theDirect Sendfeature or sending your faxes in smaller batches.
If the product cannot print a received fax due to a product error, such as a paper jam, the memory full error may appear. Clear any product errors, then ask the sender to resend the fax.
to clear document jam: 1 Open the front panel. 2 Carefully remove the jammed document. 3 Close the front panel firmly until it clicks into place.
If the fax paper jams while you are receiving or printing, Remove jammed paper and press Cancel appears in the message.
if the paper is jammed in the printing area 1 Remove the jammed paper by pulling it out smoothly in the direction of the arrow as shown. If the paper tears when it is being removed check to ensure that no small pieces have been left inside the machine. 2 Press Cancel. 3 If this was a fax, reprint the fax. For more information, see reprinting faxes on page 29.
if the paper is jammed in the paper feed area 1 Remove the jammed paper as shown. If the paper tears when it is being removed check to ensure that no small pieces have been left inside the machine. 2 Reload new paper with the print side facing toward you. 3 Press Cancel when finished.
When the HP Office jet series all-in-one front panel screen displays Memory Full, the HP Office jet all-in-one is not able to send, receive or forward faxes.
Copying will also not work.
Though the memory buffer should clear itself automatically after
proceeding with the next task, like receiving a fax or starting a copy
job, these suggestions below may help you clearing the memory buffer by:
Add paper to the HP Officejet series paper tray
Clear a possible print jam and proceed printing the fax.
Reduce the copying or faxing resolution via the front panel's menu.
the HP Manager to send a (group) fax or making a copy. More memory is
available this way, as the HP Manager utilizes the PC memory. When
sending a group fax, the HP Officejet all-in-one's memory is filled to
capacity. To copy in color is only possible from the HP Officejet
START to clear the message. If this message persists, unplug the power
cord, and after at least 15 seconds plug the power cord in.
The HP Officejet series memory may be full due to:
Copying on Photo quality or sending a group dial, which will use an extensive part of the internal memory's capacity.
No paper in the paper supply tray, while receiving a fax. This may result that the data remains in the buffer.
Print jam while receiving a fax or copying. The data is still stored in the buffer.
System error displayed on the HP Officejet display window.
HP Officejet series will not fax or copy without
sufficient memory to store the data of the page in the buffer before
printing the receiving fax or the copy.
The FAX machine received some FAXes while it was without paper. Make sure the FAX has paper and try printing the stored faxes or check in the fax menu if they can be cleared without printing. Another problem may be that the FAX received not faxes but voice messages, retrieve and delete the messages and the error should be gone.
003 - Recording paper jammed when feeding from the 3rd cassette. Remove the jammed paper.

(4) Remove the jammed or wrinkled paper and reload the recording paper into the paper cassette.
