Where can I buy a replacement LCD screen for my N79, and am I able to fit it myself without too much difficulty?

I don't think that you can do it.Even if you can open the case inside there are many sensitive parts which can easily damage.And at the same time you need spares-parts to replace which will be bought from stores.If you buy the lcd and the problem is the Display ic, LCD is no needed for you.So, my advise is to visit nearest mobile repairing shop before it damage further.Thanks for visiting fixya

A cheapest way to get a replacement LCD is to buy another used camera through ebay. Look for one sold for parts, but with good lCD. Open the camera.s is easily done by removing 5-6 screws. Once the cover is removed, LCD is directly accessible. A good tutorial available in:

hi yes you can, you can buy a cheap second hand one from ebay, and will take you about an hour to fit

The colour changing and dare i say it...vibration is the connection between the phone and the back. as you may know the n79 has chip in the back cover to tell the phone which colour to make the screen to match. Mine did this for months and months and then I changed the back and everything has been fine since then! Well apart from the fact that it crashes twice a day when i turn the keypad lock off and somehow i've smashed the lcd screen, but other than that all good!

It is often that the LCD Screen can be replaced but if you wanted to change or replace it, therefore you can buy it but it's rare to find some replacement. And then if you further buy a LCD replacement and then the price is the same with the price you buy a new one LCD Monitor, then much better buy a new one.
I tried that here buying LCD to my Computer but the same price to buy a new LCD Monitor.

LCD are very easy to change out once the back of the case is off then all you have to do is carefully lift up the hold down and pull the cable out the LCD can be obtained off of ebay or i think I might have one in stock. once you have the new LCD reverse the steps.
