Why won't my samsung smart tv emote wont change chanel

It needs to be Re-Paired to the TV.

First, fresh batteries, and clean battery contacts if needed.

Then, Try Pairing procedure:

  1. TV off
  2. Bring remote within 3 feet of TV
  3. Push Pairing button (Paper Clip or other pointed object in button hole)
  4. Turn on TV
  5. Should be paired. Try remote channel or other buttons.
  6. If not, try 2 more times.
  7. If still not working, push RESET button first and repeat Pairing.

Samsung remotes for LED / LCD TVs are generally RF, not IR.
Most Universal remotes do not generate RF signals, so disregard advice about codes for Universals.

What brand name is this

General Electric. RCA remote?? Do you have the original remote for the tv? If not buy a inexpensive GE universal remote at Dollar General if 1 is close by. They are the best universal remote I've dealt with. If not most universal remotes should work.

I can't get my dish system to work with this TV. I'm only getting 2 chanels. How do I program new chanels to this TV? I need chanel 60.

It depends on the TV a bit. Which model of Broksonic TV do you have? Do you have the original remote? (remotes.com has replacement remotes for many TVs.) Look at the TV (or the original remote) for a menu or channel add subtract option. (The TV is probably programmed to skip the channels that didn't have a signal in the past so you need to reprogram this.) If the TV is a really simple TV (with just the channel and volume controls on the TV), you'll need the original or a direct substitute remote (or a higher end programmable remote). Most basic universal remotes will control power, channel and volume but not the reprogram channels option (in my experience). If you can program the add/remove channels, press 60 on the remote, wait for the TV to go to that channel and then press the Add Channel button. Alternately, with the satellite receiver on, press the combination to search all channels and program the skip to channels with signal.

I hope this helps.

(I had a really old Emerson TV; when the original remote started to fail, the cheap universal remote didn't handle the channel programming. Fortunately, the original remote would usually still work for that.)

Universal remotes generally don't work with this model TV. However you can get an original replacement at:

I lost the code for my remote

The remote control is a Universal Remote, but who is it made by?

Are you trying to use it on your GE JCO12 TV and need the remote control code to make the universal remote work with your specific TV, correct?

Is this the JASCO/GE fliptop universal remote control?
