This would probably a motherboard issue. Sometimes firmware updates(Uefi and IMM) can resolve issue.
Same message appear when server has memory faults also, so check memory has no amber.

You would have to for motherboard replacement when no memory issue found on server

Thanks

LIFEBOOK AH530

Your bios may be set to AUTO detect. This means it looks at the first boot device and decides whether to present you with UEFI bios or LEGACY(MBR style) bios. So its determined by the contents of your hard drive or other boot device. Once set to AUTO and if you have a UEFI drive then you wont be allowed to alter settings, EXCEPT by using the OS after you boot. The OS should provide you with UEFI style BIOS adjustments using a program.

I need to replace the harddrive in a Acer Travelmate P453 laptop. The unit has InsydeH20 bios, and it will not recognize a new drive when installed internally. Acer support says can use only OE part

Hi
This is quite complicated. Firstly InsydeH2O is a UEFI system rather than the well known BIOS. The details can be found here:
UEFI BIOS for Mobile Desktop Embedded and Server Platforms InsydeH2O
and a fuller explanation can be found here:
Unified Extensible Firmware Interface
In particular, you may find that your original disk had a GPT or EFI partition which you may or may not have removed, as they don't show up in the usual way, and they are sometimes necessary for a disk to be bootable with a UEFI BIOS, but of course the disks you have tried won't have one. I would think that a detailed review of the Wikipedia page above might clarify things. With this sort of system I have had some degree of success (not always) with Maxblast 5 for Windows, which you could get from the Maxtor site (haven't tried recently). I put both disks, new and old, onto a separate computer with an existing boot drive, as subsidiary disks, either from the SATA connections on the motherboard (make sure you still boot from the original disk of the separate computer).
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

How do I exit out of the uefi bio utility mode it keeps going back to the same screen when I exit

When it boots back to the uefi bios page there should be some settings tab/s that you can change the boot from uefi only to normal the only other things i can suggest if you dont want to go into those settings to far for whatever reason , when it boots into your bios from uefi mode press f10 or whatever the defualt settings button may be for your bios, make sure you save and exit then aoll should be fine , FAIL THE ABOVE , ITS TIME FOR A BIOS UPDATE !!
