if that doesn't solve the problem, and it should solve it.

touch-pad is not working properly or for some reason is not installed or detected by windows.
Then you have either faulty touch-pad
    OR faulty touch-pad connector
    OR faulty touch-pad flex cable
    OR faulty touch-pad motherboard connector
    OR faulty motherboard.

it will need to be tested by a professional since you don't have extra touch-pads laying around or do you?

Try a usb mouse. you can check if the touch-pad is detected and or working properly in windows by right clicking on my computer select manage and from manage window left side click on device manager then on right side look for the mouse or touch-pad also look for any ! or ? yellow or red warnings.

Acer mouse disassemble ???

The Acer Aspire is a laptop model that has a built-in "mouse pad," also called a "touchpad." The user runs his or her finger across the mouse panel to move the cursor. If your mouse pad no longer responds to your touch, it may be due to a build-up of dirt and grease. Another common problem is having an outdated or damaged mouse pad driver. These problems can be quickly resolved without having to take apart the laptop.

Hold down the "Fn" key, which is found at the bottom left corner of the keyboard. Press the "F7" key once while holding the "Fn" key. Look for a message that says "touchpad enabled." b> Update the Drivers Go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "System and Maintenance" > "Device Manager." Double-click on "Mice and other pointing devices" to expand the options. Right-click "Synaptics Touchpad" and then click "Search automatically for updated driver software." Wait for the computer to scan and install new drivers. Restart your laptop.

I turned off my touch pad to my acer aspire 5733z and it wont turn bk on

Locate the "Fn" key in the lower right or left corner of the laptop keyboard.

The "Fn" key typically has different colored text on it or the key itself is a different color.

Locate the function (F1 through F12) key at the top of the keyboard that disables or enables the touchpad on the laptop.

The key typically has an icon that resembles a touchpad with a finger touching it or a touchpad with a diagonal line through it.

Press both the "Fn" and touchpad Function key simultaneously to reactive the touchpad on your laptop.

Move your finger along the touchpad to verify that it works.

Press the combination at any time to disable the touchpad again.

hope this helps

I have a HP pavillion DV6-1250us Windows vista home premium and i cannot get my mouse to scroll up or down? how do i fix this?

To move the pointer, slide your finger across the TouchPad surface in the direction you want the pointer to go. Use the TouchPad buttons like the corresponding buttons on an external mouse. To scroll up and down using the TouchPad vertical scroll zone (right edge of the touchpad), slide your finger up or down over the lines.

NOTE: If you are using the TouchPad to move the pointer, you must lift your finger off the TouchPad
before moving it to the scroll zone.
