Hi there,

Use the learning function to program each button's signal. This is the preferable method, anyway since it allows you to customize each button on your universal remote (or any other remote for which you need ir code). For instance, Try PIP
functions on/off in the control of TV component.
I hope this helps.

Its better if you can provide me the model number.
post further comment for more help.
Thanks

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Not much of the user manual on the wbe that I can find. You will need the VGA cable to hook it up to your PC for the Video, and mini stereo male to male phone jack for the sound. I am not sure about the power, some websies say it uses AC adapter (Regulated 12vdc 3.5A, http://www.directreplacementbattery.com/viewbatteryfor.cfm/LCD-Monitors-BATESIAS-V171RUXRA-LCD-Monitor-58161-FS1501-1789.html), some says it uses Power cord (no AC adapter). Pictures will help.

Monitor won't stay on

What type monitor? CRT or LCD? Most likely a power supply issue.

My screen powers up, turns on and displays for one second.

It's most likely a few capacitors in the power supply. Not a major repair. Locate a reputable svc co. to take it to.

V172RTNRA 17 in. LCD is strobing.

I solved my problem when I tried using a different Power supply. The Batesias V171RTNRA uses a 12V 4.2Amp positive center post power supply. I discovered that I had a 12V 3.0Amp power supply that had belonged to a hard drive and decided to give it a try.

It worked like a charm. Something had gone bad with the original Power Supply causing strobing in the picture. With the replacement Power Supply it no longer strobes and works perfectly.

I am not sure if it's the lower Amps that solved the problem or not.

Universal Remote Control for Batesias LCD TV

As far as I know, Sony does not have a code which works with the Batesias products; as I recall, I tried the code search function to no avail. I simply used the learning function to program each button's signal. This is the preferable method anyway, since it allows you to customize each button on your universal remote. For instance, I often include such TV functions as PIP on/off in the controls for my VCR component. I hope this helps.

Screen Shaking/Vibrating

Yeah, Degaussing is basically resetting the magnetic field inside the monitor. go into the menu options, and search for that option. if this does not work, then your monitor is really old, and needs replacing.
