How do i fix a split screen of my Toshiba c600d-t36b laptop

The quickest way to change the display output settings is to use the
display hot key (Fn + F5):
1 Press Fn and F5 simultaneously.
2 While holding down Fn, press F5 repeatedly until the setting
you want takes effect. Briefly pause each time you press the F5
key to allow time for the display to change.
This hot key cycles through the settings in the following order
(the last two options are available if an external monitor is
connected):
? Built-in display only
? Built-in display and external monitor (simultaneously)
? External monitor only
? Built-in display and TV (or other external video device)
? TV (or other external video device)
? External monitor and TV
? Built-in display and external monitor (extended mode)
? Built-in display and TV (extended mode)
? External monitor and TV (extended mode)
? Swap-Switch primary display between internal display
and external monitor when using extended desktop

Toshiba m35x starts /stops intermittently with no power to display monitor

By whom Kathleen? You?

I ask because there are two ways to answer this;

1) You performed the procedure, and less for me to post.

2) You did not perform the procedure, and I need to explain from the beginning; using a diagnostic flowchart, pictorial guidance, and guidance from me.

While I wait for your reply, suggest perform this simple test first;
Laptop OFF, monitor OFF, attach an external monitor;

1) VGA monitor to RGB (VGA) port on left side of laptop.
Can use a CRT type of monitor (Looks like a small TV), or flat LCD screen monitor if it has a VGA cable.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_Connector

OR;

2) S-Video port on left side of laptop for TV, or external video display device

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-Video

Turn the monitor on. If a CRT type allow it to warm up.
Turn the laptop on.

By factory default settings, the display should show on the external monitor. (Display device)

If not there are 3 display options available;
1) Internal monitor of laptop ONLY
2) Internal monitor of laptop AND external monitor
3) External monitor ONLY

Press, and hold the Fn key down, and at the SAME time tap once on the F5 key.
The F5 key is the Display Toggle-Over key.

Still no?
Hold the Fn key down again, and tap once more on the F5 key.

Display on external monitor means there is a problem with;

A) Video Cable
B) screen Inverter
C) LCD screen

Which means if computer display was working correctly before;

1) Whoever repaired it could have used the external display option, and it needs to be set back to internal

2) The Video Cable connections are not tight, not correct.

Loose at motherboard, screen Inverter, or LCD screen.

3) Anti-Static Procedures were NOT followed, and laptop is now an expensive paperweight.

Post back in a Comment.

How do i add my TV as a secondary screen to my computer using an RGB cable?

You didn't get sound out of it

RGB cable just provides video, not audio.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Component_video

Now a VGA cable I could see,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_Connector

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_Connector#Cable_quality

Laptop OFF, monitor OFF;
Connect to the left side - towards rear.

Turn the monitor on (TV)
Turn the laptop on.

By factory default settings the display should show on the monitor.
IF not;
There are at least 3 display options.

Press, and hold the Fn key down, and at the same time tap once on the F7 key. The F7 key is the Display Toggle-Over key.

Still no?
Hold the Fn key down again, and tap once more on the F7 key.
If still no check the settings on the TV.

No Signal After Restoring PC to Factory Settings

It's not recognizing the TV as a monitor. Find out what resolution the TV runs, then set the PC to those using the other monitor.

Laptop to TV connection problem

When your laptop boots up, Windows treats the second monitor (your TV) as a mirror of the primary monitor (your laptop screen). When Windows loads up and finishes initializing the more advanced features, it goes back to it's default setting of a single primary screen, and the secondary screen is in standby, waiting for you to do something with it. The fastest way to get the TV working would be to find the Function key on your keyboard (normally a purple-ish blue key labeled Fn) and the monitor switch key. The video switch key is normally in the Function key row (F1, F2, F3, etc...) and has the picture of a rectangle or TV-looking shape. Hold the Fn key down and then press the video-switch key once and see what happens. Lenovo laptops normally bring up a little on-screen program that allows you to pick which configuration you want. Good luck!

Echo on sound

Hello

There is nothing wrong with your system. It is just a simple sound setting you need to change. Unfotunately i dont know the console, but it is pretty much standerd for all devices. Just play around in the sound menu and you should find the setting without a problem. Most of this devices come out with preset sounds stored in device memory, so have a look at the manual and you will be set in no time. Please rate this.

Best regards
