Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Razr V3XX rebooting iteslf

I have a Motorola RAZR V3XX that randomly reboots itself. There is no one single thing I am doing when it happens, sometimes making a call, in a menu, etc. It reminds me of when a Windows PC has software problems, driver, etc, and crashees the PC. I have reflashed the phone to the original Flash/Flex (AT&T/Cingular).

The firmware info is:

Flash: R26111MLD-AS_U_96.B0.0AR

Boot Loader: 0308

I have tried a new battery, Master Reset (as suggested by AT&T) and nothing seems to help. Any advice will be appreciated.

How can i reformat my motorola cingular v3xx?

The master reset will effectively restore your phone back to the factory condition, inclusive of all settings. Be warned, any data that you have not backed up, photos you have not transferred, calendar settings, or messages you have not saved will be lost! Make sure you do this first, if possible!

Here is how you perform a Master Reset on the Motorola RAZR V3:
1. Open your phone up and go to "Settings"
2. Next go to the selection for "Initial Setup"
3. Next go to the selection for "Master Clear"
4. Then select to confirm the option.
5. Now enter the security code which should be "000000"
6. Finally press select or ok and the phone will reset itself to the factory condition

Congratulation you have performed a "hard reset", "hard reboot", or "master reset" on your Motorola V3 RAZR and it should return to normal operating mode!

I have a v3xx and while i'm looking around inthe menu or texting or anything the screen will just go black like it is trying to reboot or something. It doesn't happen all the time but almost everytime....

that seems to be a common problem with the Razr. i wound up taking mine into a ATT warranty repair center and was told after waiting several minutes that this is a defect with the Razr and that my phone would need to be replaced. thankfully it was in warranty still.

Razr v3xx celluar

Usually that only happens if the phone was just turned on, so the camera takes time to warm up. Try restarting your phone and try again. Hope this helps =)

Motorola V3xx I-mode

Under the settings for usb connection type change the setting to memory card connection. This is subject to having a memory card (Micro sd) installed. Otherwise you may have to install motorola phone software into your computer and use this to update files on your phone.
