Water is leaking and collecting in the shallow pan below the fruit/vegetable drawers at bottom. I think the water is leaking from the freezer or around the control box on the back upper wall of the refrig...

You are having a problem with the auto defrost system. You need to look around the control box to see if you can locate the drain and clean it out. Sometimes you need to move the refrig. out from the wall and look to see if you can get to the drain that way.Hope you found this helpful and thank you for using Fix ya

My Refrig is collecting water in the bottom. My freezer is on top and the refrig is on the bottom. Water collects in or under the produce trays. What could be wrong

Without a model number or even a brand, this advise can only be general. You have a blocked defrost drain. Each time the refrigerator does an automatic defrost, the resulting melted frost needs to go down to a drain pain near the compressor, where it will evaporate. If the path to the drain pan is blocked, the water has to go somewhere, in your case, down the inside of the liner of the refrig and to the lowest level, under the produce trays. There may be a tube down the outside of the refrig on back which can be removed for cleaning, or the blockage may only be accessable from the area right by the cooling coils inside the freezer section. (usually located behind the back wall, but sometimes under the freezer section floor) You may find that flushing the drain tube using a turkey baster with warm water will be all that it takes to solve your problem.

GE Refridge #tbx21jablraa Water collecting in

The defrost drain tube is plugged. Move the refrig out from the wall and remove the tube which goes from the center middle of the back to the bottom part of the refrig. Clean out the tube and check the part that goes into the refrig. That part usually comes off with a quarter turn or so, then pull.

Collecting water at bottom of frig inside under drawers.

begin by removing the grill on the front at floor level. look under there and you will see the evaporation pan. next pull the fridge out from the wall so you can get behind it. there you will see the tube. to unclog it you will have to disconnect it at the top and force hot water into it using a turkey baster.

Model 78182891 Coldspot with excessive water Collecting in Refrig

a plugged or frozen drain is a common problem that occurs from time to time in just about all refrigs so the answer is yes it may occur again in the future. But folllow theses directions and it will probably not occur again for 2-3 years.

  • Unplug refrigerator
  • unload food from freezer
  • remove icemaker if present (there are 3 screws remove the one on the bottom and loosen the 2 on top of icemaker then lift it off the 2 screws unplug from wiring harness)
  • remove 2 screws holding rear cover in place
  • move cover to the side or remove from unit altogether
  • defrost any and all ice from bottom of freezer and aluminum drain pan that is now exposed
  • flush drain hole that you will see once ice is cleared with warm water. (sometimes I use a large syringe or turkey baster to forcefully flush hot water thru the drain tube)
  • reassemble in reverse order
Post back if you have any questions and I'll gladly help you out Thanks Peyton

Water collecting at bottom of vegie drawers--water dripping from freezer to refrig

Drain is frozen over, most likely. Defrost the drain completely and verify that the drain is clear. That should fix the problem.
