If it does it with any cd and it played before you have to clean the lense or laser. Get a cd player laser cleaner disk or cd. If you still have problems take the radio fuse off in the fuse block to restart it. Remove the fuse wait five minutes then reinstall. Also some times when you burn CDs in the wrong format the cd player will not recognize them.

1. chekc and see if you hear it spin up
2. Clean the unit with a cd cleaning kit.

if you do not hear it spin you got a SERVO motor malfunction.
If you hear it spin and then spin down and then the msg try cleaning it with a kit you can buy from a eletronic store.

3. Make sure the cd is clean and free of dirt and scratches or scuff marks!!

Thank you please rate my advice!!

My jvc home stereo won;t play

It is the fuse, or the power transformer that in some cases has a built in thermal fuse in place of the regular fuse.

You need to reset the CD player. Remove the front panel and you will see a tiny hole in the middle of the panel of the unit mounted in the dash (i.e. without front panel). Gently push a ball point pen or pin in to press the reset switch.

Hope this helps.

JVC head unit problem

Do you have a "RESET" button on your stereo? Check your owner's manual to find it. I have a JVC unit in my car and the reset button is a small hole behind the detachable face. Take the end of a pencil or a pen and insert it in the tiny hole and hold for a few seconds. This should reset the stereo so you can get the CD out. Hope this helps...
